WTB: Cheap VPS for e-mailing

Discussion in 'Web Hosting' started by cesium, Dec 13, 2007.

I need a cheap VPS for this month, to send approxmately 15,000 emails, three times. I want to be able to send all 15,000 in one day, so around 600 - 700 emails per hour.

The emails are not spam, and are to a list of my current and past clients, newsletter signups, etc.

    thanks

    Do you require cPanel? Directadmin?
And, as Cameron asked, whats your budget?

In the meantime, check out our VPSs:

I'm hoping for something under 40 dollars, as I only need it for 3 short burts of activity this month (of which only half is left)

either cpanel or directadmin would be nice

    Hello,

How big are your mailings or in other words, how much bandwidth are you looking at in a month? as this is primarily going to be an email vps, I assume your diskspace and RAM requirements are negligible.. but if you have anything in mind please do let me know.

I can offer you great pricing on premium bandwidth vps's. Please have a look at : http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=591039

    Regards,

around 100kb an email, so that would be 1.5gb each mailing. so around 5gb total.

thats why i dont want to pay a lot of money, as all i need is a more powerful server than normal shared hosting, so i can send out emails faster.

i like ur plan ashagg. if i was to get it, how many emails can i send per hour?

    cesium,

I could get you started on a VPS that allows you to send email no problem. Otherwise you could just purchase "email" hosting if you would like? That would be cheaper
