I think it is interesting how many of the err successful Arab countries are some sort of monarchy. Like the UAE are basically a group of princes who got together and said lets make a rich educated country and kick out anyone who interferes. I would say Saudi Arabia is much the same way. I really think the success or failure of any country that is not directly a theocracy is only marginally based on any religion in it.
