You have to pay taxes or the IRS will come knocking on your door.

I have wondered this many times. People running directories or other stable business earning $xxxx a month should consider it.

people doing free lance web design, odd jobs, sig selling etc probably shouldnt bother. if its not a business is it worth it?

I don't pay taxes since government officials in my country are corrupt and will just use the tzxes I pay them to finance their lavish lifestyles.

See that makes no sense to me. You will pay 28% on your earnings when millionaires will only pay like 16%. WTF...

Like I said few days ago, large transactions only 2 people know about seller and buyer. Those who are students and living in US are very lucky, no taxes at all. Wish I had a time machine to take me back a few years.

Students in the UK don't have to pay any taxes either :D

But as soon as i'm not a student I will have to declaire it (or have the government chase me down). All the people in this thread saying they don't because it's only a little amount or because they don't agree with their government are breaking the law to say the least.

Cool_78 move to a different country if you don't like your government. If your not paying taxes on what you earn (if it is the law that you have to) then you don't deserve to live in their country, simple as.

No they won't. They have no juridstriction in my country & are not entitled to anyone's tax dollars here. I don't think they'd be stupid enough to fly 1/2 way around the world.

Obviously, I don't see IRS agents heading to the remote forests of the Amazon to find a lost tribe who have not filed their income correctly.
