I've had minimal success and monstrous failures with PPC, espcially adwords. Here's what has worked for me 5 cent clicks to long tail keyword-optimized page 5-10 cent clicks for a keyword based on somebody's name who is an expert in their field for one specific niche Sending traffic to a lnading page that really functions as a squeeze page, by having a good reason to click on a link that sends people to a squeeze page.. The follow up emails do the trick and can be counted on for repeat traffic and increases overall conversions. However, I've heard that there's a method for getting 1000s of 5 clent clicks via the content network by specifying which sites on content network (Adsense sites) you want your ads displayed on. I beleive that the way its supposed to work is... you place your ad on Adsense sites, and you only pay for those targeted clicks, something like that... Obviously I've never mastered or figured out this method, but I think that's the way its supposed to work. Any thoughts on this?
If PPC doesn't work for you for long time, then try something else. There are lots of ways to get traffic, PPC is just the "quickest" way
You can have a placement-targeted campaign (what used to called site targeted) on a cpc basis. It's comparatively recent that this has been available to everyone, you used to only have site/targeted campaigns on a cpm basis (i.e. you paid for impressions, not clicks) Whether or not you get 1000s of 5 cent clicks relies on the same factors as any campaign - whether your ad is inviting, whether it's well-placed, well-targeted etc.
OK, I see, its called placement-targeted campaigns but not paying for impressions though, just clicks?
