    Come on

Google "Search Engine Optimization Certification" and THEY are no where to be found.... You think thats a good seo company that you want teaching you?

They can't even rank for there own <>title<> .hahahahahahahaha .....LOLcopter!!!!!!!

Yea , ok I would use this lamb ass service.......

Just read some really good reads like Stephen, Aaron, and Rand and you can get way more , and I mean way more knowledge then any place like this,

Oh!, And, If you feel the sudden urge to spend cash to make you feel better , Arron and Rand both have paid versions as well.

    Hope that helps !

Thanks for the info and this is really useful...but I would like to get more better opportunities showing a proof that I am certified SEO specialist and have enough knowledge to move up the things in better way.

Any info on this is appreciable.

agree with you, even i read one feedback of its member like " i got pr6 in less than 2 months" on this page seocertification(.)org/apply.php

but site it self has pr5, i know that it is not easy for beginners to get pr6 in 2 months.

    You want Proof?

You think that a certificate will give you proof? ha ha ha ha

    No seriously

Proof is in the serps ,

    Artists have "portfolios"

    SEO'S have "rankings"

Get some keywords ranked nice and high and fully understand how seo works and that will be the only thing you ever need

Rand Fishken from seo moz charges $10,000 min for ANY job he does. Nice money right?

Guess what , that guy could write the book on seo ( Aaron beat him to it ), but he has no "magic certificate" he has rankings

You want to learn some good shit right here on dp

Search for "Dan schultz" , I think I spelt that right, anyhow he has like a 20 page thread with all real seo advice for FREE.

Its seems to me you are just like a lonely boyscout or something that wants a merit badge to show it off, no need my friend

Learn seo for free from these top players and its easy ,

Then work on your rankings and go get sone clients,

Listen - No one, well, anyone smart is going to go " Oh hey , you have no rankings to prove to me that you are good, But you have some piece of paper from some whole in the wall website, and I should hire you why?"

EHHHHH!!!!! - not going to happen

You could have 1000000000 certificates and be 30% cheaper then me

You have no rankings , I will beat you on every job

Now, " I " was just a figure of speech, I do seo but not for clients , only myself, But seriously at least ponder my advice , just don't blow it off as crap and go waste money on some crappy ........you you know..........

    Nice comment dude,
only certificate will not worth a painee.. your work will be the best things to show. i know it is not easy to learn seo within 2-3 months, i am working in this field since last 2 years and achieve lots of good ranking on very competitive keywords but still there is always chance of improvement. and i am always search for that.

    For me certifications are BS

    I don't need a papper to show wath i can do ......

And maybe a CISQO certificat or admin server is good but a SEO or Microsft com on ..... that's BS

I hope your clients dont stumble upon this thread, because from this you show very little knowledge about SEO... Link them to some google queries that show your work. Period. If they need further proof you may submit them a complete report of how difficult the keyword is to rank for, by showing details on competitor sites, etc.

Certification sites crack me up. I saw one last year that had no meta tags. What I would like to know is who is certifying the certification firms. They seem to need it the most. Not that I am opposed to someone making a buck, but come on. Why pay 300 dollars+ to be told what you can just as easily read here or crea8asite forums.

Possibly just diploma/degree sellers branching off into other areas to sell their worthless pieces of paper?

I have been doing SEO for about three years and no client asked me for a certification degree, or wahtsoever!! They just want to know what I intend to do, HOW I will do it, how much it will be and, what is more important, WHAT SITES I OPTIMISED before thiers and for WHAT KEYWORDS. That's all they want to know...

If your client asks you for a certificate to prove you are an SEO expert, turn around and run away as fast as is humanly possible.

That certificate site is f****** ugly lol. Forget about it.

The only certificates that are really worth exploring in the online world would be for PPC (i.e. Google Adwords Professional, or Yahoo Search Marketing Specialist) - as there are inherant requirements just to quality (i.e. Google requires you to manage a monthly PPC of $5,000 with them just to take the test). Spending that kind of money would be silly if you just wanted to take the test, so it's really only avaialble to people who do PPC for a living.

Aside from that, you may want to consider SEMPO (www.sempo.com) instead, as it's an actually recognize certification by most marketing companies. Just about every internet marketing firm is SEMPO certified, but that doesn't mean they do good work, it just means they paid alot of money to be in their online directory which lists their specific IM services. No guarantee if quality (however most of the top firms are listed on SEMPO.

You could also consider the American Marketing Association (www.marketingpower.com). It's recognized by just about every marketing professional in North America, but it's more of a general marketing certification, not online. But you get access to alot of really good data and reports when you join them, and it's only like $300/year. I have membership with the AMA just for the purpose of their content, they have some really amazing articles and databases that you can access.
