Heya, I've sent some money to a scammer.. What exactly should i do to request my money back from PayPal?.. Thanks, NwS
Lies, all lies. Email paypal, and tell them it was an unauthorised transaction, that's one way, or open a complaint with a 'not recieved' and they will investigate.
calling me a liar. big words. i had 2 scammers and i didnt get a dime back. i used both ways. But NWS please keep us posted and let see who is right.
It depends, however if by any reason PayPal gets to you for stating a non-valid reason you are most likely to get limited, perhaps banned? Do yourself a favour, and speak up the truth OP, If you bought a virtual product (eg, a web site, template etc..) you are most likely to not receive your funds back, unfortunately they do not support these transactions, I have spoken with them several times regarding this issue and no, they won't assist you. If you however, provide further information regarding the reason of your money request, perhaps we could guide you better? Regards, Meti
I wanted to get $120 EG so i sent $132 PP.. I doubt this is even "legal" on PP, although back in 05 i didn't find any rule that said anything against this or even about this?..
I am pretty sure you can get something back that is not ebay related. Well I know as it happened to me!! All depends on circumstances I suppose, but chargebacks are not just ebay related.
(I'm not trying to make enemies) I've had experience with this, if you file an item not recieved complaint for a decent amount of money, then give it a few days, then escalate it, they will sort it out for you. It's not the best system, but it works.
Unfortunately, I don't think that would work, try one of the methods described above, I seriously hope they will help you out. Meti
I've had this happen before myself, I mistakenly sent money to the wrong paypal merchant and even with that the transaction took 60 days to be reversed. Paypal will help you reverse it but it takes forever for them to get the ball rolling sometimes - I still use PayPal but prefer my credit/debit for sales because of my experience with this issue, at least disputing sales are easier with my CC.
Merchants must seek prior approval if they intend to use PayPal as a money transmitter aka money exchange To be approved, merchants must provide proof of license or registration with the applicable country-specific regulatory bodies and their anti-money laundering policies and procedures. Merchants can inquire about approval in accordance with this policy by sending contact information, business URL, and a brief business summary to...
Hi everyone: Scam artists hide behind Paypal policies to defraud people. Using Paypal for payments should be avoided like a plague unless you are sure of the merchant you are dealing with. Any merchant who uses Paypal as the only payment method has something up their sleeve. Blessed1.

If you pay via credit card with paypal, then you receive 100% protection. If something goes wrong, go to your credit card company and request a refund. Paypal will put the funds on hold that you sent, and then there is a 99% chance of getting that money back.
