My Ranking

    I'm currently ranking on the 2nd page of Google for the term 'Kaka' but am a bit annoyed/confused as to why I have several youtube and metacafe videos above me in the Search Engines.
    I now they get linked to a lot from other sites, but my site has never been above any of them, and i've put a lot of work into trying.
    Is it possible for me to get above these videos?
    I mean i'll keep putting work into my site, trying to get backlinks etc, and the videos get linked to every single day, will I overtake them eventually?

    How long has it been that you have been promoting? You might just have to be a little more patient?

    One thing you could do is work a little on the graphic design of the website to get more natural link backs.

    but it also looks like the sites ranking above you are almost all authority websites. You can't expect to rank higher than "Kaka's unofficial website", or "Kaka's Wiki", or "kaka's fan site" when they are much larger than yours and alot more links pointed to them.

    Is it really worth spending the time and effort to rank higher for that keyword? Are making good money off of it?

    Youtube will difenitely outpoint you if those videos have large number of views. Especially if these videos are posted in multiple sites.

    Thanks for getting back to me, I've been going on it full throttle for 1.5 months, not long but i'm just frustrated that these videos seem to be higher than me, maybe I am a little impatient.
    I don't expect to get above the unofficail Kaka site, nor Wiki but I have a chance of getting on the first page.
    At the minute I make $1 off it, but as i've got a few other football sites on the go, I can get a lot of traffic from my other sites to this one.
    Like I said just a bit frustrated that videos rank above me for my main keyword. Maybe your right maybe I do need to wait a little while, but we all like to see results as quick as possible, right ;)?

    I would recommend you look into Traffic Geyser. It uses video to get high ranking.

    youtube and metacafe are olomost certified sites that's why but they can be betean i rank metacafe for funny videos :)

    Cheers for that, I guess like with anything online, it takes time. Its just frustrating to see videos rank above content sites.

    How about using videos your self (SMO optimization) use videos and link your site to it...
