3 Blog questions from a beginner

    1. I'm trying to do the whole rss feed thing and signed up at feedburner. But here's the real question: how do you get the widget into your blog and have it show the amount of subscribers and the place to put your email address for ppl to subscribe? i have no idea how to do any of that..

    2. I'm pretty comfortable with my topic and will be posting every weekday and i want to maximize the revenue possibilities. So should i stick to keeping my blog on blogspot.com or buy my hosting? if i buy it i can use wordpress and be more versatile..

btw i already bought my own domain name for easier name recognition.

    3. I use a lot of profanity in my blog because it's mainly comical, does google frown upon that or ban? do any other revenue streaming sites prohibit that?

    thanks

don't all rush in and post at the same time now, i know it's a busy section nd all :D

Feedburner will give you a code that you can imbed into your blog. The sidebar is the best place for that. You can also imbed footers in the blog posts for subscription options, among other things.
There are directions on the feedburner site that will tell you how to do it.

Get your own hosting, and use wordpress. It's as simple as that.

Not sure. You may want to stay away from the "F", and the "S" word so as not to be confused with an Adult site.

    thanks

Anyone that visits could potentially flag your blog as objectionable. Then Google would take a look. If they thought it was really bad, they reserve the right to delete you. I looked at your blog though, and I really doubt you would ever run into any issues at all. Here is the tos:

I think you are fine with the profanity as long as it is not directed as hate. If you look on DP, you see a lot of the F-word going around. Just make sure you are sensitive to teh sudience that might read you blog. Profanity can attract readers but it can also turn people off. There is a fine line to walk. If you make it fun and intresting, the profanity should not hurt you.

    Good Luck!

yea, i use it in a moderate amount. but i also sometimes use offensive jokes that might be termed racist in my site, "Except for New Orleans because the weather would be prosecuted with a hate crime if it did, but that's a whole 'nother story."

    stuff like that bad lol?

I'd get off blogspot ASAP - you're loose any PR you develop when you move so sooner is good. WordPress is great once you've used it you will never go back
