Paul at 5% in Iowa in latest Rasmussen Poll of likely Republican voters. Within 3% of 3rd place. :)

    Mike Huckabee - 39%
    Mitt Romney - 23%
    Rudy Giuliani - 8%
    Fred Thompson - 8%
    John McCain - 6%
    Ron Paul - 5%
    Tom Tancredo - 3%
    Duncan Hunter - 1%

And if you've been paying attention, Paul is the only GOPer drawing Democrats and Independents in Iowa. :)

    http://www.ronpaul2008.com/states/iowa/

    -----------------------------

Latest Michigan Rasmussen Poll of likely Republican voters

    Huck 21 (+12%)
    Governor W. Mitt Romney 20 ( -5%)
Mayor Rudolph "Rudy" Guiliani 19 (-9%)
    Thompson 9 (-4%)
    McCain 8 (-4%)
    Paul 7 (+5%)

Michigan is another wildcard because many Democrat candidates have abandoned the state, so there is a great chance for Paul to pick up much more support from the anti-war crowd as the Primary in Michigan is open.

But the registration deadline to vote is Dec. 17th. (soon!!!)

Holy crap I just took at look and he's almost hit his 12 million goal already. So he's definitely going to overshoot his goal on Dec,16. But whether it will make history or not we'll have to see.

Clinton's day was BS. They bundled donations at the campaign and submitted them on a single day in the FEC filing.

And yes, I think $6.2 million in one day is a definite possibility with another 250k on the Monday.

    The Year That Wasn't
    2007 defied conventional political wisdom.
    http://www.reason.com/news/show/123856.html

    ---------------------

Offline donations were added in to the ticker yesterday, and the campaign at my last glance was at $11.3 million dollars for the 4th quarter. With what seemed like an almost insurmountable goal of $12 million set in October, and the Dec. 16th Tea Party coming up, it is quite possible, in fact almost for sure, that Ron Paul will have the largest fund raising quarter amongst all of the GOP candidates.

    ---------------------

Not just another Straw Poll. :)

National Presidential Caucus Announces Results From First-Ever National Caucus

-- Barack Obama Wins Democrat Caucuses; Ron Paul Dominates Both GOP And "Open" Caucuses --

Lots of criticism of Paulites flooding Straw Polls, but I find it very interesting that the next two biggest GOP grassroots campaigns, Huckabee and Thompson respectively also flexed their muscle, making this National Caucus an interesting grassroots experiment. You'll note the results are close to the results of the Grassfire.org poll of it's membership posted in the last week or so to this thread.

    ---------------------

    Onward and upward
    http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/017644.html

Pretty interesting is that in some states, specifically New Hampshire and Michigan, Paul is mirroring Huckabee's upward trend a few points lower, but of course none of these polls include the Democrat and Independent voters in these open primaries.

Looking at Huck's explosion, weeks before the first primary, one has to wonder, can he hold his position and momentum? Paul is poised for great results in Iowa and New Hampshire to fuel SC, Michigan and Florida.
