Recommended Host?

I'm currently using Ipowerweb. I'd like to switch to another host because I can never get through to Ipower when I need customer support. I'm usually on hold with them for 30-60 minutes before someone picks up.

I'm starting my new wordpress blog this week Who should I use to host it?

I think bluehost and Hostgator are good ones..try figuring out which plan you need on both these sites

Don't go with Lunar Pages. I'm learning the hard way with them.

    hands down, LiquidWeb.

They have 24/7 phone support as well as web support via tickets.

they have awesome prices and amazing customer service & support.

I've been with them over a year now and I don't see myself ever switching away from them

Not really. You told me to use them last year and they ended up trying to move all of my sites to a new harddrive - and I lost an important database and they couldn't restore it.

Why couldn't a few account members agree to share a dedicated host?

It seems like a lot of these web hosts try to get as many people on their shared servers as possible and then, about a year later, decide to pull a fast one and force the account to a dedicated server.

    It's pure BS!

Exactly. Don't rely on a shared host unless your site is small.

What is considered small? 100 visitors per day?

Because I have less than that on daily basis. My brother is on a shared server running a forum with hundreds of users on a daily basis. So far Lunar Pages hasn't shut him down.

Instead of working with their customers to resolve the issues they stab them in the back without warning. I can't believe others haven't sued them yet!
