Meanwhile you should work hard to correct the bad spots!! Don't toss it aside, submit your reinclusion request after a bit of tidying up. OP: You don't have a message in the Google Webmasters Control Panel telling you about a penalty?? PS. My IE 7 800x600 is doing a real hack job on the appearance of your site.
My site went from 3 to 0 also. I did register and try to get approve for Text Link Ads but I was denied. Would just applying be a cause for google to drop my rank? If so how would they even know if I don't have any links on my website?
No doubt. Also, doesn't Google realize they are going to still screw up the algo by making normal linking webmasters so paranoid that they will not link naturally anymore? Basically I've put every darn link on any page at a nofollow condition
I mailed them that i won't do any paid blogposts, (and i mean it) so i hope they revert it back. I can live with the current ad income & donations so its all good.
generally only people who are web developers care about pr... so don't really worry... If you do sell your own links, this could be bad...
Yeah, word is their cracking down hard on link selling and buying. Reinclusions are hard to come by, but if you plead your case well, they'll occasionally let you back in. *crosses fingers*
I was lucky. My Money Making Forum went on last update from Pr2 to PR4. And i am very happy about it Jipiiiiiiiiii... roclub.com . Dp is simply great. Learned alot from here. DL
I learned this the hard way although I don't care a lot about PR i do want the pr4 back because i have a feeling my site would be better ranked. I want to make my applications more known to the public, thats for sure. It's all free and i like coding applications that are useful for other people.
The chances of reinclusion are very low to begin with. If you link was found on one of the many sites penalized for selling hardlinks then I would say good luck to you Time to wait for another major PR update
One of my sites got dropped to PR4 from PR5 and it's a software house website. It was NOT involved in buying or selling links but still it dropped? Can anyone explain this?
One (or more) of the sites that links to you, was penalized, so their PR was not being passed to you anymore, so you no longer deserved the 5, and are now a 4. -- That is the most rational explanation I can think of.
