I was just thinkin' how I was driving something like 201 km/h on highway and after few days I think I was fool because I was doing that... Adreanline was very high, it was very exciting but in my opinion it was really too risky...

What is your opinion on stuff like this - is it cool to drive more than 200 km/h (130+ miles per hour) or not? What was your top speed?

If your a professional F1 driver, then its your job to go pretty fast. But to just do it on a motorway was a bit stupid, but it happens all the time. I've only driven on the motorway twice, i'm still taking my driving lessons, but I got up to 60mph both times. When I can drive and have my own car i'll probably test out what it feels to do 100-120mph :D

Everyone speeds now and then. If you know what you are doing and you are not putting anyone at risk then why not...

Normally stick to the limit +18km/hr (within no ticket range). Fastest i've gone is 120km/h, never got a ticket.

@mate_pl, don't be an idiot. You crash at those speeds and you're dead, you get caught at those speed and welcome to jail time and public transportation.

The problem is that in most countries the speed limits are effectively outdated as they were set a long time ago when vehicles were simply not as safe as they are now in terms of brakes etc (of cause just because cars have got better doesnt mean that thinking time has been reduced or driving standards have increased).

I have been on a race track so the fastest I have driven at was about 180mph (290 kmh if i can count my fingers correctly) - didnt have the bottle to push it faster

Ticket range is 10%, not 18km/h I think.

I admit I always go 5-10mph over all the time. Do race on the highway at night sometimes when no one is around, or go fast on the highway alone to get that rush :)

Thats true, it's just a pity that alot of people who do speed do not know what they're doing.

I've never gone above 125km/h so I can't really compete with some others here. Speeding is fun but it's also dangerous and risky thus wiping out any point of doing so.

Although, speed limits should be raised as cars are alot better than they used to be. 100km/h on a nice almost straight, wide laned motorway or freeway is just slow! If there are 4 lanes there should be 2 higher speed lanes and 2 lower speed lanes, or something alike. I'm pretty sure alot of people could safely drive at 140km/h or so in the newer cars these days.

I'm in Canada, anything over 18km/h you start losing demerit points, thats when the cops usually start giving out tickets. Its defiantly not 10% here.

As I've explained, it happened once and definitely won't again... Too stupid way to lose your life... The least I could get was losing my licence for 6 months + paying around half of my salary :)
