Yeah, I know, tons of discussions about the subject are out there, but who cares. Here in Costa Rica there are tons of hookers and you see Gringos visiting just to get sex. I get bothered by it. Why? Because Costa Rica is my home now. Costa Rica is great, but the economical disadvantage of the locals creates temptation for them to get into prostitution and selling drugs. You pay an employee about 1.50 to 2 dollars an hour here, so many of the girls in the university decide they just sell themselves on the side to pay for classes. Having lots of Costa Rican friends, it bugs me to see that the morals of this country are on the line. What do you guys think about sex vacations, prostitution and any form of exploitation in general?
Personally I don't like it but German model is just fine. Prostitutes are women with monthly salary, pension funds, health care etc etc... Legalize it totally or prohibit it...
Romania is the same Evrywhere hookers I'm agains protitues or sex for money ..... but i' the kind of guy who is romantic that's why
not every job you love is gonna be perfect all day long. you gotta learn to make the best out of bad situations. maybe some do..
I think it mostly depends upon the person that is selling themselves, is she is under 18 or is in a vulnerable position then I don't think they should. But their are thousands that are happy with their job, so why should we stop them. They provide a service to many people in need.
I wasn't sure how to answer this without looking like a complete loser so I just put "not cool, but live and let live and let the world take it´s turn". Seeing as this is a webmaster forum, I can't believe #4 isn't in the lead.
I don't think in some situations the girls or boys for that matter get to pick and choose who their customers are.
I guess that´s one way to look at it. I´ve been in customer service for years, and I definitely didn´t like all of my customers.
I cannot remember which country it was in (can take a guess easily enough) but it was somewhat amusing the other day in the news about a country where disabled people get an allowance/ coupons that can be used with registered prostitutes - it was in the news because a UK company has started a holiday setup for disabled people to go to the same area as whilst they have to pay "full price" the sex workers are closely screened, the brothels are suitable for wheelchair access etc. At the end of the day I personally wouldnt pay a prostitute but I have to say that whilst I was at university I did have to question occasionally the difference between buying a girl a few drinks because you knew you would then have sex compared to just giving her the cash instead. The issues with prostitution is the exploitation that happens and whilst there are a few for whom it is a "career choice" the vast majority it isnt. The difficulty is how to remove this aspect? If you legalize it you gain some control but then the cost of screening/ licensing etc will mean that there will remain cut price illegal/ unlicensed options - remove the social stigma, increase demand but reduce the profit margin and you may simply increase the exploitation rather than reducing it
Its unfortunate that many countries have economies that are milked by corrupt politicians, and in many cases the knock on effect is an unsustainable economy whereby there is not sufficient free flow of liquid cash to feed and support the indigenous population adequately. In many such cases many additional people take up prostitution as a last resort to make money, because they cannot find work that will enable them to earn a respectable income The route cause needs eradicating before people will have freedom of choice as to how they will earn revenue Of course some go into being a Hooker because they like that work
Well I have nothing against it actually. I was looking at sexcetera the other day and there was a camping where people were having sex all day long. It's a way of living
