Whats the best way to protect your PHP script and license it?

My friend and me are working on an RPG script thats custom and unique and I would like to know what you all think is the best solution to protect and license it?

We're currently/going to be using PHP Audit for licensing and Ioncube for encoding the script.

Has anyone tried PHP Shield for encoding scripts? It seems cheap and no site says they can crack it where as sites claim they can crack ioncube.

 

I think you'll find all php encoder programs/scripts will be crackable, its just how difficult it is.. or how many people have tried. If it has to be parsed through php it will be crackable eventually by someone who has time or just effort, compiling it helps but again is not going to guarentee it either.

 

ok then what would you say would be the most difficult encoder to crack?

 

ioncube an zend is best known and very expensive to crack.

php audit is nice for licensing.

 

AFAIK, Zend cracking - $5 for script, so it is not so expensive.

 

PHPshield is the only encoder that no one seems to be able to crack. I'm thinking of buying that.

 

I know Ioncube used to be straightforward to crack a few years ago. The ioncube cracking services which you mentioned, is this to crack old ioncube encoded files or the latest version?

 

I know someone who can crack the latest version, i have a decoded file of whmcs if anyone wants to see it.

 

warez forums are not to hard to find now a days.

however there is no full proof way to fully protect something.

Honestly if someone wants it they will have it plain and simple.

the best things to use in my book is a license key check. as well as ioncube or zend still by far over any other system.

Yes they can be cracked but are still the best known tools available for doing so to date and give more updates and changes then any other.

 

Zend can be cracked.
Ioncube can be cracked.
PHPShield Can't be cracked/ no proof has been given that it can

would u like me to show u proof ioncube can be decoded?

 

if its on the computerit can be cracked it just a matter of time and patients.
