It is rare that Adsense bans you for no reason. Most people deep down knows what they did. If you honestly have no idea, re-read the TOS and see what you might have done wrong, if that does not work, goto adsense help and contact them through one of their support forms and ask for a better explanation. They should answer you that way. They do not normally answer through email only through the support forms.

Proxy sites are tricky and they have banned many accounts for putting adsense on proxified pages.

This is called highjacking someone else's thread! If you want to do a transaction, start your own thread!

Hey you guys aren't getting the point here.
Adsense loves there every publisher and every click (in the end) benefits them
Many people usually get frustrated and start clicking on there own ad. (They might use proxies as well)
How do they know you clicked? Well at WebmasterWorld a Google guy said that they apply three things to catch people.
    1) You will click and login with same IP.
    2) They also look at the geographical location. Let me explain, if someone clicks on your ad and he is geographically close to you. This will be a red sign and they will launch an investigation. And everyone is banned MANUALLY.
    3) Constant Clicks from Same IPs. This will also cause an manual investigation and they will see if this was not caused by his rivals. If not, he is banned.

    These are NOT stupid people.
I have been with adsense for over 3.5 Years and i always reported any suspicious activity
    And SO SHOULD YOU! :)

    I have to agree with Grim_Reaper ,

Adsense people are more smart than ordinary webmaster, you need to be extra ordinary to trick with adsense ;) but again you are in risk....

I don't know a lot about proxies and don't use them, but wouldn't a proxy cause all the clicks coming from it to appear to be coming from the same IP address.. that of the proxy server? If so, it would seem that if the site is being accessed by a proxy, then it will appear that all the clicks on your ads came from one person. Since there are two proxy webmasters in this thread saying they got banned, I would think this might be a problem. But, I may not know what I'm talking about here.

the number of proxies you have isn't a good reason to ban people, i think some DP members have more than 50-100 proxies so the number of proxies you have i think isn't the reason , my opinion ( if the number is a problem then should first say it directly )

There's been a few threads already where this rather vague message from Google has been mentioned. Many seem to think that the 'significant risk' relates to clicks that aint converting for the advertiser.

Perhaps the advertisers should tart up their pages or stop selling crappy products?? :D

Still, in the end its the adsensee that is losing here by not getting a more concise explanation.

(Why no warnings, advice on what to do, or temp-bans from Google? Seems a tad harsh to be penalised for life for either an honest error or something wrong at the advertisers end).

this has happened to people before. i think it is because alot of your clicks are not converting into real customers who purchase soemthing so that the adwords advertisers make money

i do not agree with this last conclusions...is not our business if clicks are or not converting in sales for advertisers , if is so then Google should be a CJ 2 not Google Adsense , to be paid only when someone is purchasing something but for this are the refferals...

First reason when someone advertise in adsense i think is for traffic (to be known , people find about his great service" and second hopes for "POTENTIAL" clients not buyers, if don't want to pay for every click should use refferals...

No , i think Google are proffesionals ... you must prove it first or maybe you even need to prove it when they know... because if is so everybody can use this technique agains anyone even against biggest Adsense users like ... Plentyoffish
