Thanks. As far as Vietnam, I cannot defend that since I don't even know why it happened. In fact, I don't even know why Iraq happened. I remember turning on my TV and they were showing the bombing in Iraq. I was thinking WTF? I thought there must be a good explanation. That maybe Saddam was going to bomb us or? But there was never a good explanation and I don't understand. This may sound kind of weird, but up to this point I have never really questioned the government. I see so many changes now and I am not as trusting anymore. Things seem to be going in a direction that I don't want them to. Most Americans though are good people. We are just trying to live our life day by day.
I don't see the envy you are saying, All I am seeing is just the plain truth that people are trained to ignore and turn the channel to yet another war ... I think when criticising America, it is important to differentiate America and Americans. They're not the same thing. One is a person who likely has as little control over what their government does than any European and one is a country with a, imo, dubious approach to foreign policy.
