Adsense makes up about 40-50% of our revenues. We also do some niche affiliate products. We work straight with the companies, no middle man (ie - CJ, etc). Surprisingly, we also generate decent revenue from banner advertising. We use multiple companies to be able to fill our inventory and ad space to near capacity. Lastly, we also do very well with in-text ads (like Kontera). My latest obsession is our newsletter. We are now focusing much of our energy on building that list to help reduce our dependency on search traffic. Lists are a great asset to any website and I would recommend starting one today, even if you don't have much to write in it. You can always recap what is going on in your industry... folks like something to read over lunch, etc. Then if you ever need to drive more traffic to your site, you have your dedicated list of subscribers!
bigbody: Let me tell you what my dream was. It was to finance the car that I wanted and make at least $10 every day and repay the car loan using Adsense income. God must have smiled on me and granted me a lot more than $10 and I started to make $50, $60 per day. Currently my average is just a bit over $100 so you can imagine how far I have come with my dream and now I am hoping make more out of adsense and take it to the next step. Dreams can begin small and turn into a big jolly reality, even bigger than you could ever imagine. And if I can do it, hell, anybody can do it. All you need is patience and devotion. Keep at it and you'll be there real soon!
may sound very relaxing but nothing is for certain the same bills you have now you will have then if your adsense drops over a few weeks you wont be sittin so relaxed in Starbucks I hope you reach a high level of earnings where you can take some knocks but be careful good luck!

Just remember what you are envisioning will ALWAYS be a dream until you put a goal date/time in place. THEN it has become a goal! Dreamers don't retire at the age of 21, 30, 40, 60, 80, 150! You have to be in it to win it!
Every webmaster here started with $0 a day, we all had some sort of dream. Read the forums, research, and work hard. You will get there one day, and most importantly never give up and keep believing. The internet is a huge place.... and this business will never get saturated.
I can do just what you are doing however i prefer to work for a large bank and triple the income make money when you can and then retire early~
I will open an offline store out of my adsense earnings.. if fortunate to build big funds of course.. I will not touch my adsense earnings starting january.
