Hosting Design - Pick your own reward

Greetz,

I have finally decided to move my private hosting business out of the private, referral/invite only world and come on out into the main stream (in the near future)...and I'd like to start with actually getting a website going.

I've been in the business for about 3 years, though as I said...I haven't advertised or anything like that, so due to that...I started working on a website a while ago, but never actually finished it due to the fact that I didn't see the need, and I had other stuff to do.

I do have a current logo that I like...but as I don't have a psd of it, you can feel free to redesign a completely new logo and all.

What I am looking for is a psd of high quality. You do not need to code the website itself. At least the main page and a logo (new or remake of current), though making a few other pages would be a nice addition.

The only one requirement I have is that purple is involved. I know it's not a normal color to see requested often...but I promised my daughter that it could be purple so I must stick to that. Doesn't have to be a majority of purple...as long as you get the hint of purple when looking at the site.


I'm looking for a unique design...not a copy of something else with the colors changed...unique and inspiring

And for payment...you pick your reward. I can just pay via paypal, or I have about 20 gbs of templates/fonts/programs/scripts/articles/ebooks/etc, or possible something else...whatever you have in mind...just remember you'll be completing on quality of your work as well as your requested reward (though quality is more important for me)....

(I'm willing to pay low $xx, or high $xxx if you want the paypal option...of course my accepting your price would greatly depend on the quality of your work...)

(i.e...I won't pay $999 for a single page template...but if you wanted to do a single page for this contest (so you don't do 10 pages for free and then me not select you) and then more pages after you win for that price...that would be resonable)

I think i probably rambled a lot...i tend to do that...so if anything is unclear please ask any question you have.

Oh, and the ability to follow instructions is a pet peeve of mine, and as I will probably seek continued business with the winner of this contest, it's something I'll be considering as well...so for the first test of that ability I will say this...DO NOT PM ME UNLESS I PM YOU AFTER YOU POST HERE (and posting...'Please PM me' doesn't count). All submissions must be posted here publically and questions asked publically. I have nothing to hide and i'd hope you don't either ...hence...no reason for private messages.

i made this design for another contest

is unique , cars are custom vector graphics

car instead of a pc is something different , you can have a slogan like "Really Fast Host" , "Fastest host ever" ...


or if you want i can change car with something else

 

First off...it's already missing the key color of purple..and yeah, cars don't work...the companies name is Staxweb...i'd like something that fits in with that...(though not sure what fits with that...lol...'Stacking the Web' was something I'd heard...but i really have no real motto or anything yet)

Not really fond of the over all design either...not sure what I don't like about it...maybe a little too simple

I'm not entering but I gotta say, I like your current design if it wasn't 'so purple'. Purple is good, but I feel as though I'm on LSD when viewing your site.

Thanks for the compliment. I actually did the current design myself...i'm a designer...i just have the issue of when i'm doing something for myself i get designers block...i got all that done...and don't really know where to go from there...

plus it had the same effect on me as it had on you, lol...so i figured i'd let some outside hands bring in a new perspective for me...

 

Before I continue, here is the basic layout of the template I have done.
If you like it tell me, and I will finis it, if not, I won't - simple as that.
The low quality is because of the compression so I could upload it...

My fav colour is purple..so i'm happy to see a site with a requirement of purple!

I like your logo..so i'll try to replicate it with a few modifications.

 

It doesn't really look professional enough for me...i want more of a corporate feel...

glad to here it I'm fond of the current logo as well...

Also...for any who want to do something (or make a straight copy for use) of the current logo...I found a PSD for it..

it isn't the original one, but it's one I had made from a large version of the logo after I managed to screw up the real PSD...hope it's helpful...

It's one of the ones I like...but it's not my fav out of the ones I listed...I like the smoothness of it, but there are somethings it's missing (it's a little too plain for me). Also not purple, and also $150 is too much for a single page template

Though feel free to design another (or alter that one) and enter the contest

 

I'll enter this, I've got some of it done, but not all of it.

However, is there any chance of an extended deadline? You see, I'm in France over the weekend so won't have time to work on it. Possibly to say the 19th?

This is what I have so far, if you don't like it, then there's no point of extending the deadline... obviously. lol

 

not really enough there to tell if i like it or not...(though i don't see any purple)

I'm gonna extend the deadline to the 31st...i'll make my decision 1 Jan (unless i get one i really love before then)
