Has anyone had Success with Article Marketing?

IT all depend on the way you write articles. But articles are great tools and it can be spin off into different format and then use it to market again.

 

It works for backlinks (ranking) but not sure how it works for affiliates.

Link building must be an on going process and that is how I work. Therefore, it is diffcult to say the results are directly due to the article marketing. But, of course it helps.

 

Right, that is understandable......I am just crazy to ask that question

So how often do you publish an article for any given website?

 

I haven't started article marketing yet but I would like to start doing it soon. I recently read a very good ebook on how to get started ... it's Killer Content in 30 Minutes Written By Steven Wagenheim.

I sticky to a simple method, just produce quality articles with good keyword placement. I submit about 4 articles per month for each site to over 400 directories. that is my basic method at the moment. It has payed off well as far as driving traffic to my sites and creating adsense revenue!

 

can you share your method of good keyword placement for article writing.. on how you recommend optimizing and article for submitting..

I wrote 2 articles and submitted to Ezinearticles and I have made just over $100. They only took about 1/2 an hour so its a good pay. I am still getting sales and after about a month so its a good long term strategy.

 

For the most part, I try to keep it simple
-Select a Keyword rich Title
-Place a keyword in every paragraph or twice if the paragraph is larger than 500 words.

I also focus on keeping the content of the article very easy to understand and I try to send a clear message to the reader. The whole point of the article ultimately is to get the reader to click the link at the bottom...........besides articles used for links and SEO. So the article usually builds up to the reader wanting to click the link when they are through reading!

I have not had much luck with article marketing.
Most article directories that I have seen do not allow links inside the article. So, it was pointless for a link building perspective.

do links in your author box still count as back links?

 

It depends on which article directory, some do and some dont, you just need to check with each one.
