Valueclick media is a CPM company - not a PPC + CPC company like adsense is.

ValueClick media a bit harder accepts publishers websites, than Google Adsence (just my own poor experience)

Use both together and find out. I use both and adsense has always done better, but for the first time, valueclick is doing better than adsense this month.

I think you can use both at the same time.
Adsense should generate more income for you than VCM.

VCM will actually generate more buddy. VCM = a CPM company, so you get paid for every 1 thousand impression.

Have you use VCM ? I had tried it once ona forum with 6 million + page views per month and the result was disppointing. Nowhere near adsense. Dropped it after a month. From my experience I will never ever recommend them.

BTW, PPC works better if you place the ads better. Also context sensitive are always a betetr option. Best adsense alternative I have found till date is kontera.

Nope, I've never tried VCM. I heard the rates suck though.

This is an it depends kind of answer. Both of them are going to vary all the time, so you need to keep an eye on your earnings and make adjustments. There is no reason why you can't run them both fully at the same time. VCM varies greatly also by the format of the ads you run... some formats do better than others. But like I said, you need to monitor what they are doing daily and make adjustments accordingly. Adsense has been a consistent performer for me for 5 years, but in the last few months its really started to drop as I've worked my portfolio of networks. For me, VCM has passed Adsense this month and is producing 30% more. But it could change back just as quickly. VCM and Adsense have dropped down and aren't my top producers right now. My advice is diversify so that you are working with a half dozen or so networks and keep tweaking the mix to get the best results. Relying on a single network is asking for trouble.

Not true. Its definitely possible to run VCM on forums if you have the right forum. Its relatively difficult to get accepted as a new site with VCM if you are a forum. This also applies to Tribal Fusion, Casale, and Burst Media, all of whom will run on forums if its the right forum. If your forum is heavily moderated, has good US based traffic, and is on a topic that they need lots of inventory for, then you can do it. Just not easy to do.

I think you are right, I received an email from them after applying with a site a month ago and they specifically said that VCM could not be used on a Forum and, I'm not sure about this but there were two places they said it couldn't be used on and I think the second was Blogs.

I haven't placed VCM on the site yet but can anybody tell me how much they pay per 1 thousand impressions.
I have been told from approx $1 to $4 per 1 thousand impressions, is that right and which would it be closer to. And does it depend on the niche. Thanks in advance for your answer :)
