The title does not take away from statements of the article. Do you truthfully think the title should have every animal tested? Of course not it's going to use the most common.

As far as the thread being based on pork, that is fine and dandy, yet you use a study that truthfully should attack ALL meat not just pork. This pretty much destroys your 'pork is bad' attempt, all by itself.

It comes back to how it's processed, not the animal itself.

We became what we are today because we started eating meat but I am sure some would like if we stayed on trees I guess :)

People that do not eat meat are useless zombies phisically and mentally. They cannot think and cannot pick up things.....

    Look. Let's recap.

A personal opinion. The only material you have provided does zero to support this personal opinion. Until you come up with data and science to support this personal opinion, I'm afraid I don't see you as having much of a leg to stand on, beyond my respect for your right to your personal opinion.

The topic is about Pork. All forms of Pork. I regard them all as filthy. It's not a religious view. It's a health view. If I was a catholic, pork would still be disgusting to me.

In fact, I know a catholic gentleman who never ate pork. He lived to be 90+ years old, about 25 years older than the average male in his country. Anyway that is one instance that proves nothing. Just one example.

Call me disingenous and any other big word you can muster. Pork is still unclean and unhealthy.

The scientific literature has proven it.

I know many people who have eaten pork every day who lived very long lives. Didn't the worlds oldest cat eat bacon or something? I'd have to look it up, but I know I read something about a super old cat eating bacon and drinking coffee.

Just because someone lives to a certain age and they did not eat a certain item does not even remotely prove the item is bad for you..

I know a guy who drank boatloads daily, smoked cigars, and screwed around alot. He lived to 100. His name was George Burns.

The scientific literature has proven this is the key to longevity. There, glad we brought in the big guns of science to get to the truth.:D

Science literature has no idea how I feel after I eat delicious pork steak. That feeling makes me happy and I feel healthy and strong. I laugh at tiny white faces that do not eat meat and pork when they are behind in everything we do together phisically and mentally.

This one way trashing of some meat (pork in this case) is plane stupid. I mean we eat other stuff also and my meals are healthy by all standards and wow they include pork from time to time. Or should we eat grass all day long ?

People who actually has to do some phisical labor will tell you that there is no work done without some fatty food.

Yes how the meat is processed is important. But not everyone knows that. Not everyone will cares if the Pork was grass fed or given pig flesh to eat.

BTW, that is just one study, there are hundreds of others that show pork to be nasty. Given enough idle time :( they could all be listed here.

Jeez - for a guy who has has had plenty of time (or, in my wife's language, a ridiculous amount of time - and get off DP, asshole!) to post a single study, I for one am still waiting.

Let me ask a question... Why should Pork NOT be considered 'unclean' ?
Show me the scientific evidence that shows all Pork to be healthy when compared to alternatives.

Of course but we don't have unlimited sources of fat food around all the time do we ?

Useless debate with you really since you only see unhealthy and all that doctors, studies crap and you seem like a guy not really living in a real world...come to the ground and try to understand that pork is good no matter what doctors say ;)

North guy, yes more scientific evidence would just sent you further into your grass fed denial.

    Hahahah. Translation:

"I have been arguing that pork is nasty all along, and that there is a torrent of scientific information that proves it, but, uh, can't seem to find, in all this time, the time to post a single instance of this scientific information supporting my claim. So, I'll just cast an aspersion on North - "living in denial" - that outta keep the hounds at bay."

Well, got me there, buddy. Thanks for the overwhelming scientific evidence.:D

So do fish, chicken, lamb, goat and cows have worms. If you ever lived in a farm or worked in a restaurant you would know.
So do cows, horses, chicken, and other animals can be fed (and in some places are fed) growth hormones. Additionally these animals have fat too.
Speak for yourself. In many countries pork backs, (in essence pure fat with the skin intact or removed, is a delicacy. Of course, many still eat the drippings from various cookings, including beef, chicken, goose and such. A good gravy is from the pure fat drippings of meat.
Fat is continued to be included in foods, and was never "removed". Tastes have changed, but a good meal can be made just as healthy with a piece of lard as with a piece of butter.

Fat does not cause obesity. Eating too much and exercising too little causes obesity.

Fat does not cause cancer. You cannot have it both ways. If fat causes cancer, when it was removed according to you, cancer rates should dropped. Yet cancer rates have not dropped.
