I don't think direction submission packages are a good idea. There is nothing like manual submission both into directories and search engines as it allows for choosing the correct category among other interesting advantages. Just an opinion, though...
    Best.

Directory submission can never be bad - the only question is how much is the link worth in traffic, PR and in anchor text for the SERPs. Try Fast Directory Submitter - semi-automated software

... What must I do and have, if I want to used it to build my own directory? A directory needs a search function, categories + subcategories, entry and payment functions as well as a few other functions to work with.

Of course I would like to add adsense as well.

Thanks, what are the costs involved and the skills required for managing a directory whith their software.

It's my plan to establish a directory for suppliers in South Africa still this year.

This get's me to another question and this is the one of receiving or making payments.

its really easy to use. You can run a free or paid directory. Its the best script by far on the market.

I plan to run the directory free for at least six month. Personally I consider running two directories and then offer a reciprocal link exchange to the other. Directory1 would request a link to Directory2 vice versa. There are not so many seo-friendly directories in South Africa at the moment, two or three at them moment I could think of. That brings me to the issue whether and how seo-friendly directories of that kind are going to be. And of course how these directories cooperate with Adsense and afiliate schemes.

I reserved a name for a supplier directory that I will establish. This will be my premier to the directory business. So I will experiment with it and compile some feedback from my critiques here.
