Woke up yesterday and went to check my adsense account but was greeted with a "disabled" notice. Here is their letter to me...

    "Hello,

While reviewing your network of sites participating in the AdSense
program, our specialists found that many of the sites are not in
compliance with Google's webmaster quality guidelines.

All AdSense publishers are required to adhere to these guidelines, as
    per AdSense Program Policies.

As a result of these violations, your AdSense account has been
disabled. You will receive payment for outstanding earnings, but we're
no longer able to partner with you or your network of sites.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Sincerely,

    The Google AdSense Team"

If anyone can give me an idea as to what violation(s), I'd appreciate it. Here is a site in my "network". http://www.minidisc-japan.info:

I'll write a rough draft this evening then re-read it tomorrow morning as I'm still hot under the collar...don't want to write an accusatory letter, ya know.

    The dreaded ban continues

Meanwhile bland10000 i have few observations about your site
The site has only 9 pages indexed and lot of affiliate links on the pages
This is a case of mistaken identity, it seens to be happening again, google has started disliking the affiliate links again, this is the third ban in a weeks time i know where affiliate ids were used
To be very frank, if you use google ads on that particular site, it looks like an MFA(maybe that is what they are talking about letting you keep the money earned so far-they have done this when they banned arbitrage sites)

Is all your sites in the network like this

*Dont get worried about what i have written earlier, it is not to demoralise you, just that you can be better prepared when you write to the support team-you can address them with these issues and how you can help it to make better business sense

    All the best:)

BTW may be another option for you
The adsense guidelines also states as below:
"4) I need a separate account for my business

In this case, you may submit a new application. Please make sure that the account type (individual or business) and payee name are different from your original application, and ensure that you can accept payments to that payee."

    Find it here

Thanks for an informative post, cashisfilthitakecheck; "sorry 4 u" responses provide no information.

Yup, I see what you mean with the affiliate links...back to the cpanel for some editing and no, it wasn't demoralizing; I needed an opinion.

Wow, I often hear that they keep your earnings once you are banned.

With this kind of ban, you cannot appeal. It's likely that you are caught creating MFA sites.

Have you tried to determine if there were any invalid clicks on your pages? I would think that the most common reason for Google to close a person's account is for invalid clicks. This is something they strictly enforce. It's not likely it would be closed because you have eBay Affiliate links on your site. I have several eBay Affiliate stores and have never had any problems. Most websites these days have lots of affiliate banners, links, etc. so I can't see that being a problem.

See if you can determine if there were an unusual number of clicks from one IP Address or anything out of the ordinary. Of course, you can't click on ads on your own sites or you'll get closed down immediately. Best to check all of Google's TOS and see if there is any rules you might have broken by mistake.

It's junk, that's why your account was disabled.

Aside from some dodgy pictures this is the sum total of your site:
It is 2007 and finding minidisc equipment is becoming more difficult with each day. [...] There are a still a number of excellent sites on the web that offer minidisc related equipment that might be worth a visit.

The entire site amounts to 91 words more or less and you are wondering why you got banned from Adsense?

It seems to me that your site is ok though, how did you drive traffic to your site? It'd be possible that publishers' accounts get banned because of arbitrage....hxxp://www.jensense.com/archives/2007/05/google_adsense_16.html
