Which in your opinion do you think is worse, as in we shouldn't have even had the war. Some people have no idea why the Vietnam war was even fought, same with the Iraq war.
Vietnam was fought under the fear of the domino affect of communism. But whether if that was the real reason or not, its hard to say.
There is this crazy idea I have. It stems from the American revolution. The people of a country, must be willing to fight and die for their own freedom. They have to establish their own laws and government. It can't be handed to them, or created by external force. Unfortunately, they have to attain it for themselves. I think both wars were started for just reasons, Vietnam War, because of the domino effect of communism, because you can't be the last democratic country surrounded by communism and not feel the effects, and last put the time period into perspective, this was just right after Cuba had a nuke on its island aimed at us. I believe the Bush Administration went there to create a democracy, they figured a free democracy in the middle of the middle east is a powerful example for other countries to emulate which would hopefully stem the allure of radicalism.
