I haven't had any problems with using NOCHEX and they seem a good option for the UK. Also I believe with NOCHEX as long as you send the goods to the confirmed address you can't get any chargebacks.
PayPal sucks simple as that, its like AdBrite in the advertising area. PayPal is only known because of eBay and its advertising, to be honest i hate getting paid via paypal, but i dont have a problem paying with it, reason for that is CHARGEBACKS are the devil, paypal doesnt care and doesnt do anything about it. The one company that is my fav for secure transactions is e-gold Tyler
Moneybookers is also nice, because in Europe bank transfer are done a lot more compared to other countries. And you simply have more options with moneybookers then with paypal. For example in my situation: -Can only get xxx € credit card, max for student in belgium, regardless of money on bank account. Sorry can't add funds to paypal by wire transfer in belgium ...... -Moneybookers: add/remove money through credit card/wire transfer/check/ and in several countries many other options. See where this is going, if you prefer banking over cc'ing == europe --> moneybookers
if you want to know how immature the banking system is in America take this example: I have bank accounts in major US banks, and europe banks for the US banks, when I log in to my bank account online, there is no way I can transfer money from my account to another bank account, unless that account is in my name and is a bank within the States but with some of my europe online banks, I can transfer money to any account in the world, anytime i want, i can do IBAN transfers, it only requires the IBAN number not even the name on the account and the transfers are very quick via the IBAN, usually take only a few hours or less, I can do SWIFT transfers to any bank in the world, works fine, and never do i have to deal with customer serivce the US banking system is very behind, and very slow, and their customer service sucks, just trying to make them understand your situation is one big headache and they are usually a pain in the ass on purpose also like i said the patriot act has made things worse not better, in some years US will be a police state like China, or maybe worse I'm not saying europe is perfect, but US isn't either
I just tried to send a mail to paypal The following message to <webform@paypal.be> was undeliverable. The reason for the problem: 5.4.7 - Delivery expired (message too old) 'DNS Soft Error looking up paypal.be (MX) while asking recursive_nameserver0.parent. Error was: unable to reach nameserver on any valid IP' hehe
Well charge backs are part of the business with any payment processor that takes credit card. We've had charge backs in Paypal and through our credit card gateway. The nice thing about Paypal though is the user sometimes disputes first maybe due to not receiving an email and we resolve it. With credit cards we get hit with a charge back a $25 fee from the cc processor and nothing we can do about it. Anywhere a customer is paying via credit card there is a risk they charge back. With e-gold you may not see it because they don't take CC's but where the customer got the gold in they may have paid using CC so that company may get hit. That's my opinion As for Paypal I haven't had any issues with them personally. They've always been nice to me quick to respond. But this may be due to the large number of transactions I do through it and such so I'm treated nicely. I've had far more issues with accepting CC's than through Paypal due to the fraud checks paypal has in place. Sometimes I simply cannot tell if a CC is stolen or not when the person orders from the place they claim to be from and such. I have a friend who does over millions of dollars in transactions through paypal a year. They had their account limited once and guess what one call to Paypal and they were all fixed up again. Of course I think they also got their own business rep with paypal opposed to sharing with others.
PayPal doesn't penalize innocent people. If you're a verified member with no sketchy account activity, you'll be fine. And if anything happens, you can phone their support number. I've called several times and I was always connected with a live person within minutes, and they're always helpful. People complain too much.
What I don't understand is that when THEY want to take money off from your bank account, they'll do it and credit it instantly on the same day but if I instruct them to credit my paypal account it takes 7-9 working days! How does that work!??
