CompUSA's closing; awesome deals soon?

As per CNN, CompUSA is closing all of its stores... Supposedly they're going to liquidate all their merchandise during the Christmas rush; think we'll be able to grab some sweet deals?

I'm in the market for a new desktop, hopefully they'll do some serious price slashing....

They closed the CompUSA by my house a year ago. I wonder if they'll offer deals on the internet.

I am sure they will offer TONS of deals in stores and online.
They won't go into a hassle of selling to other places, they will sell to us, so yes hopefully good deals!

It would be nice to get some real technology deals for a change, sadly there is nothing that I need, or can afford right now.

so a slash and burn price from Compusa would be what, as cheap as you could find something online??

We had an overly priced Grocery Chain (Albertson's) close a lot of their stores (if not all) in our area...their sale prices were ridiculous...laughable even.

    I hope Cusa is different!

i heard that they sold all of their merchandise to some liquidator so i don't think they will be selling their stuff dirt cheap

if anyone live in NY/NJ you should remember the wiz http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nobody_Beats_The_Wiz. it close down a few years ago and i snap some good deal. A sony headphone for 20 (was 100) and a yamaha drum machine for 50 (was 270)

Too bad CompUSA closed around here a long time ago, Best Buy and Circuit City dominate my area now along with Bits Bytes and Pieces.

I don't know if they're closing or not, but it seems every time a circuit city opens somewhere, a bestbuy opens less then a mile away... it's like bestbuy is stalking circuit city...

Best Buy stock isn't expensive if you look at it from a earnings standpoint.
