do any of you turn off your campaigns while your sleeping? with one of my campaigns, throughout the day while im awake, the ctr is around 1%, but when i fall asleep and wake up and check its always really low around .25% and then its hard to bring it back up to the 1% it should be at.. should i turn it off when i go to bed and turn it on when i wake up? will this affect the campaigns qs or anything like that?

I would try to find out what makes the CTR that low overnight. There is a reason and your job is to find out what it is.

It's possible your audience is not in a converting mood overnite or just sleeping. :b

I find that from 1am-7am are my worst hours of conversions.

I run a credit card campaign that is turned off in the early am. I never got conversions during those times.

Many people have their PPC spend set to specific times of the day. While you may not get conversions as well during the night, you can get cheaper clicks. I guess it all depends on your niche, I dont have a problem with conversions at night.

It's called dayparting. I have never bothered turning things off and on. Once I know they are converting, I let them run. I have some campaigns that have been running nonstop over a year to azoog offers.

that is because everything is time based, depending on the demographic (audience) you target, it will differ, example, if you target only Chinese or if you target only Americans you will get people on for different times of the day depending on where you live, ALWAYS keep this in mind, YOUR night is another persons day :D

I experimented a lot with turning on and off specific timeframes during the day and turning on/off campaigns during weekends, at the end it always turned out better to just have all of them running 24/hr.

Some campaigns I leave on at night if they're profitable or break even, but others just lose money so no sense in having them up.

The reasons for this is the targeting of the campaigns. It seems that when you go asleep, so does the countries that gives you the best CTR rates.

I have only had one campaign where i set it not to run at night cause that was the only time i wasn't getting converts rest of time it was rocking... try some tests... remember profit is profitting so if you are profitting running at night why not :)
