Ok, I think this is what I want to do, 'Create a 3-D flat panel monitor and display a 2-D picture inside!' But I have no idea how. How can I do this using Photoshop?
I need to look around to find a good example, but I want to reference the following DHTML web design: http://www.dhteumeuleu.com/dhtml/nav-3D.html You can see that objects in the space have the 3D look. I want to add objects here, but I want to create 3D-ish objects using 2D pictures. I figured that I can place pictures inside frames or flat TV monitors, make them look 3D and put them here. Does it make sense?
Pen Tooling is for illustrator m8. In order to create a 3D monitor in Photoshop I'd rather use Rectangular Marquee Tool and Perspective. It wold take a while though...
It's not easy to create 3D Objects in Photoshop, though. I can create a 3D Flatscreenmonitor for you in Cinema4D for 20$. I'll make a fully customizable 3D Object. If you're interested, just contact me ( PM ) regards
Hmmm ... Can you recommend me a good tutorial on this? I looked around a bit, but I haven't really found a comprehensive tutorial that teaches me how to create 3D(-ish) objects using Photoshop.
sure! Some techniques on creating simple 3D objects can be found here http://good-tutorials.com/search/tutorials/3d+Box and a nice pen tool usage for this technique is here http://www.devlobby.com/showthread.php?t=1195 Good luck! I hope this helps you
