I have a couple dozen PR4 domains and I was going to try and start a blog network with wordpress. Can anyone give me any starter tips to go about doing this?

    Download and install
    Find a suitable theme
Find the plugins that will be useful for your site
    Read blogging guides
    Traffic and link building strategies

These are the main few things to do for a start. Of course, CONTENT IS KING!

yes go with any cpanel linux hosting with fantastico... installed in it so with the help of fantastico... you can install wordpress with one single click as it will create a database automatically and configure wordpress automatically

you only need to have a template which you can easily get for free... try to google the term "Free Wordpress themes"

upload it and start working as they are already search engine optimized so you dont have to worry in your initial stages...

    hope all this helps...

I guess with the vague details I gave I should expect responses like that. Let me clarify :p. I'm not new to WP, I've designed a few plugins and am experienced at managing it. I'm trying to create a blog network for paid posting. I was wondering what software would be best for mass installation. How would posts propagate throughout the network? RSS feed plugin? Shared database?

Cheap SEO Services (AKA Col) I'm looking for your advice ;)

I have a custom made script using .ASP for exactly this. I am willing to let go of it. It can be easily plugged into PHPmyadmin for an unlimited amount of blogs. There are many variations that can be utilized. Such as, cycle posting, delayed posting, random posting etc..

My developer can make it do pretty much whatever you want it to do.

As far as the hosting for the blog network itself. A Hostgator reseller hosting account is fantastic for this and cheap enough to manage up to 500-800 blogs.

Price for this script and support is USD$10,000. You will get full support for this price and a largely discounted price for all modifications to the script.

Some might think USD$10,000 is a high price. However, for what it is and what it can do, it is valued much more than that when you think about how much it can make.

I have been making/managing/supplying blog networks for well over a year now. This is by far the best there is.

    Hope this helps.

    Col :)

Well I don't quite have the amount of domains to make a 10k purchase just yet ;). Was looking for a free piece of software, but it looks like I might just need 20 different WP installs
