There was always an old Radio Shack computer that you hooked up to the tv and backed up things on tape. The first real computer I got was in 96 just before I turned 11. An old PowerPC 6116 if anyone remembers them. Thing still works like the day I got it with no serious problems. I have only had this windows install for 2 months and it needs to be reformatted.
I got mine way back in 1999, when I was 15 year old.It was a P3 450Mhz with an 'impressive' 4 MB Creative Graphics Card.64MB RAM.8 GB HDD.The very first game I played on it was Unreal. My father had to pay $1500 for it
yeah perhaps I was lucky I know people who've paid a fortune for 386s But that's the way it is in the world of computers.Maybe after 15 years we're gonna have a thread on DP recalling how we used core2duo and quadcore systems way back in 2007!
I got my first computer when I was like 8 years old, which is about 10 years ago. It was a Windows 95 edition lol. Westoff.
I got my first computer when i was like 8, and it was old as hell.... LOL I cant belive i can remember that p.o.s.. I think it had like 8 mb of ram and like a 1.5 gb harddrive. pffftttt LOL. What a hunk of junk.
My dad bought our first ever computer when I was about 6 years old. It was the coolest thing on earth for me back then I bought my first ever computer just a year ago. I love it so much but I want a bigger screen, say 40"?
I had a ZX spectrum 48k when they first came out - I can't remember how old I was. I was 16 when I got my first PC - it was a 286 with one Meg of ram and a 40 meg hard disk, and it cost £550. I later on upgraded the ram to four meg which cost an extra £130. Brew
If we're counting the commodore, I got my first 16+ at about 5 years old. I got my first proper PC (a 486DX) when I was about 10 or 11 years old, I know I got the internet at 11..
