Go with google if possible and use the new fully rounded corner 468 x 60 ads, use a nice orange border (complementary colour of your blue forum), place 2 ad's one top left and one top right you will get x 10 the amount of clicks, I get 6 - 12 clicks a day from just 500 impressions with google
may be but theres another advantage of google that there database has loads of adds and new adds come everytime but adbrite kinda shows same adds many time
well brow, FORUMS alwasy suck, but you can always make money with them, I have a couple of web design related forums, the point is that people dont click on ads or click through rate is very poor. 2 things that I can suggest because I am making some decnt money with those implementations. 1. Changing color, image / text color and post embede within the posts. 2. Important : I see you have a tutorial section where you have some tutorial, I would suggest separate that part from the forum and make it look like a separate section of your website, I mean do some coding or find a tutorial cms for VB, then fetch those tutorials post and display them like simpe page and embed Adsense / Ad Code within that tutorial I can bet you will see a sudden increase in your clicks... this is how I have done and I am making some decent from amount form adsense. hope this helps..
Also, make your zone description even more descriptive, so advertisers will buy ads directly. For example, directly bought Full Page Ads pays very...very well (it can pay like 7$ CPM with my tests). Also don't include your zone in the Technology> General, but in some category like Technology> "xxxx" it can be Techonology > software for example, that will atract advertiser. Hope this helps.
