Are GPT's profitable?

I am thinking about creating a PTC/PTR site, but I don't know how profitable they are, so I wanted to ask here. Also how much would it cost to get one started? I guessed about $600. Is that high or low? Also how would I get started in creating one? Do you recommend that I use CashCrusader, or a different script? Also do you have any suggestions or ideas on how to run the site?

    Thanks,
    Kyle

They can be profitable if run right.

You can find a lot of scripts on the net for gpt sites.
I use 4 different scripts on 4 different sites.

Good place to go is http://www.scottdalehosting.com/
They can set you up, and host you, for WAY less than what you think.

$600? Who told you that figure?
I have a reserve on each site of mine at $100 to make sure I can do payouts.
But most of that is covered by member fees and advertising.

Ok thanks. I'll definitely check out the link. I estimated the $600 based on:

    $300 - Site
    - Hosting for a year 60
    - Domain 10
    - Script 70
    - Set up 20
    - and Plugins 150

    150 - Advertising
150 - Cash on hand (to payout members)

Although if I got a good script, I don't think that I would need the plugins, so that would save me some money.

Also can I see some of your sites?

    Thanks,
    Kyle

yes, they are profitable, but they are too saturated,so you need to promote this very well to attract users

I think so. I don't see why that wouldn't be allowed.
