Hello, I was analysing my visitor logs and came across this site. http://friday-release.com/ He copied all the content on my site http://cbtopsites.com and pasted it on his site. I have emailed him and hope he removes it from his site.
This is unfortunate. So he made a CB account, duped your site, and reverse engineered your whole system to copy your business model? Is it an affiliate perhaps confused and thinking this is 'ok' since you offer these full stores anyway? I think giving CB a call would fix this for you, it's top level, they probably value your deep integration with them - and will take care of him/her... NC.
Hello NCmedia, Thanks for your reply. It is not a matter of confusion on the part of that affiliate. We have made it very clear everywhere on our site not to copy our source code and content. I have emailed him and waiting for his reply. I don't want to complain to CB without giving him an opportunity.
The bad news is that he or she copied your site. The good news is he or she did a lousy job. Images are missing everywhere and I can't imagine anyone actually buying from pages with so much missing, but who knows? If this person does not drop this immediately, along with contacting CB, a letter about copyright infringement and penalties from your lawyer is in order.
I found just one page of my website copied once, I emailed the guy and got no response, I then contacted clickbank and they made him remove it within a few days and told me to get in contact with them if he ever done it again! On a side note does anyone know how to protect a css file from being copied? I ask because the whole key to my new website are the css files, if the copier can't get that the whole website will look a mess, so does anyone know a method of protecting it? thanks for any replies
The design, colors, content, CSS, HTML and everything on his site was copied from our site a few weeks back. Later, we have made some changes to our site design and so, both are appearing little different in appearance.
I think there is no way of protecting a CSS file because it gets downloaded to the browser whenever a person visits your site. He can copy it easily.
I worked for a full year to develop CBTopsites Clickbank Mall and he copied everything in a day or two and pasted everything on his site. isn't this a matter to worry?
Give clickbank a call, or write them a letter. This personally disgusts me. CB might be able to do something to make him stop.
