Monetize or wait?

Grats! Very web 2.0 ish. I'm not a fan of the colors though. Too bright for me. Maybe a sleek blue would have been a better choice. Just my opinion

 

I guess it depends on your future plans , I have a forum with over 40,000 posts and get 30-40 new members a day.I dont sell any ad space there and get offers from others to buy it all the time. The forum members are active and happy and for what people want to pay these days fr high traffic banners i rather keep it empty.I would find some related affiliate type programs to ad in the content and hope your members support you by buying the stuff you are trying to sell

 

I'd definitly advise with the banners.

 

Banners are a good tactic but build a separate page with a niche domain and place all your banners their for trading and link partnership hope this helps

Create your own banners better if you use some one elses on your web site it could hinder youre rankings in Goolge
