It's not faked. domainpagerank is not accurate. It is a real PR5 but without any backlink anymore. So, the next update will be PR0...
Well first of all i think the pagerank was 5 in the latest update , but at the latest backlinks update ( couple of days ago ) google penalysed the domain ( deleted all backlinks ) but domain still have the pr from latest update . I think that at the next PR update the PR will be 0

sure ... there are stes that have million of baclinks but pr drop from PR8 to PR4 ... there is no guarantee that PR relies on number of links ... but the quality of links ... You can have one PR8 to get your page at PR6 etc ... There are examples of sites that have one (Quality) PR9 link and got it self PR8 ... I think the new google algo for PR is not based any longer on old SEO studies ... Judge your self phpbb and dynamicdrive ... etc don't they have thousands on BL ... So as I said the domain IS "AS IS" ... buy or not buy ... its your decission. I can't and don't give any guaranties that it will keep or not keep this PR5 ... just one think i can say sure the google algo is not as before and anything can happen.
Domains only very rarely lose their PR after the backlinks are reset to 0. Especially wihtin the first couple of PR updates. I have some domains that have retained their PR years after backlinks were reset to 0. It is true that sometimes a site will lose it's PR after having it's google backlinks reset. But it is very infrequent, and a very slow process. usually, you have pleanty of time to get some inbound PR links to retain the PR. To the seller, what is the current highest bid?
