I agree. SEO first and .info or .com after... I completely disagree. Backlinks do nothing for rank in G...And not even for PR. One billions PR0 backlinks will give you a very nice PR0. One PR7 will give at least a PR5, if not a PR6
Mmm...interesting...How many time do you check, let's say, directories to find your nearest pet shop?
I don't look for pet shops in directories but if I'm looking to find something that is not "local" I have been known to search through a directory for it. Especially if I can't get it locally.
We have a winner. It is very rare to find somebody who search on directories instead of Google or Yahoo... Chapeau bas...
"The" won't hinder you a bit. I've currently got one up for sale that should bring in about $200 when sold. (PR1) It's very much a growing niche, and I get a lot of visitors and make a fair amount of money with it. Also, I've sold hyphenated domains for some pretty good change in the past. The first one I sold went for $900. Just make sure it makes sense. Pete
theman.com seems even better than man.com I impresse that people like more joint words than '-' separating words in the domains if that was the question, with or without '-'!?
I personally like them. I recently reg TheLosingWeight.info I think the .info is good with it and make more sense than a .com
Doesn't matter if it flows correctly. TheKingofBarbecue.com (mine) is a PR-1. Should bring me about $200-$500. I also sold a hyphenated domain a couple of years a go for $900. It had a PR-3. If it flows good, if you've got the traffic, let 'er rip. Pete
