Accidentally submitted to the wrong category!

    Grateful for any assistance.

Recently submitted my website after following a thread, but was slightly confused about where to enter the category - Thought maybe after submitting you be given the chance to select it.

What I believe actually happened is the thread I followed put the category in for me and therefore has submitted incorrectly what was already set.

My worry is that I will now be refused submission?

So I have a couple of questions:

    1) Is there anyway to correct this?
    2) Is there somewhere I can email with the correction?

    Many thanks in advance….

Resubmit to the correct category. Two submissions won't get you listed as a spammer and one site will simply be deleted when an editor gets round to reviewing it.

Then forget it, it may take months for the site to be reviewed and then even not accepted and you won't get warning of either, sorry the systems can't cope with that at present. You will have done all you can at ODP go and promote your site somewhere else to help it to be seen.

    Hope that helps.

What Anonymously said, :). Don't worry about it at all, it's not a big deal.

There is no way for a submitter to delete a submission. But, as others above have said, submitting twice in these circumstances is not a big problem.

What on earth are you on about?

Once a site has been submitted to ODP, only ODP editors can deal with it the person who submitted it cannot delete or withdraw it.

Submitting many times across the directory to unsuitable categories can get a spammer tag. But the OP here asked about a site he had accidentally submitted to the wrong category and was told that s/he could submit to the correct category and that would not be a problem or raise any issues.

I think it's no big deal. I've submitted my website to three different categories because I was confused on which category would be the most appropriate. My website was added to one of those three categories in a month.
