    Hi

Has anybody get any idea when vb 3.7 will be released.

I have 1 forum set up with it but with the new features i am going to set up a dating site with it.

Anyone know when its going to be released to the public.

Once the internal Beta testing is over, followed by a few public beta releases.

As for an actual time frame, I'd assume (based on hope) it goes public beta before Christmas so that people can have it on their X-mas lists...though if that is not the case, then I'd assume shortly into the new year.

As for an actual date, that is NOT known at the moment. (see: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=250819)

It would be best for you to keep track of updates at the official vBulletin forums, here you will be able to look yourself regulary and see for yourself when it will be ready. I guess there will never be a date announced for its release untill its actually ready, they will not rush the project.

The data is unknown. I'm sure once the have a stable beta version ready for us, they'll release it.

Hey wallace, they will not give out a solid date, even by using that contact form. Just go to the first look thread on their site and that is your best bet, or just check the site every day to see if it's downloable!

I heard there will be a public beta out before the end of the year, but I don't know if it is true and have no idea about stable release.

    Hmmm …

I’m working on a project right now, and I almost made up my mind to go with vB. It’s possible that I’ll start working on this before Christmas. What version should I use? Should I just use the current stable release or I should just go ahead and use this new version?

Buy the current one... the new one is not currently available to the general public. Once you get it,when the new one does come out, you can upgrade.

If you do this though, save your time and don't bother with add-ons/plugins till later.

    in the new version
everything is powered by ajax ,
    and forums are live
for example you should not refresh your topic to see if its answered or not
you will see it when you get a reply

    Hmmm …

Let’s say that I get the current version and install Zoints, vBDrupal and blog(?). When I upgrade to vB 3.7, is it going to be very difficult given that the new version is making a significant change?

If this is for me, then I will just wait. But I’m making this portal for someone else, so … I need to integrate all components as soon as I get the official order, which might be as early as next week.
