Hi there, I have just put my squeeze page up and started promoting my free ebook (followed by an one-time-offer). But afer 100 visitors no sign-ups !! What do I do wrong...??? Is is the graphic, the headline ??? What is the normal rate for your squeeze pages ??? any ideas ?? It's really annoying to see. Traffic should be targeted (PPC, Articles, Directories, Affiliate Program Directories). I would assume it should be better than 10% ??? so I should have already 10 signups with 100 targeted visitors, shouldn't I ?? Your comments are highly appreciated... Thanks Thomas PS. Ah, the site is: http://www.adsense-money.biz
hi monster24, I just had a look at your squeeze page and here are just my 2 cents (of suggestions): 1) Remove the guy/lady just above the opt-in box 2) Shorten the "Discover 17 FREE Powerful Emergency Strategies For Massive Adsense Income" bit to perhaps "17 Powerful Emergency Strategies" or something The above 2 suggestions act to simplify the squeeze page (to lessen noise) and finally ... 3) For the eCover image, bring it up to the front and center it. Bringing it up to the front as in give it a better view as if people were holding it to read the cover instead of it lying down on the table. (Know what i mean?) Ok, I hope this has helped you.
hey.. this is my frank opinion..your squeeze page doesn't seems to be attractive enough.although you are giving free e-book but your squeeze page appearance is not convincing enough..try putting more information and why they must download your ebook. ok gd luck..
You are not giving enough info on the book. Period. Also, you are not going to get 10% of the visitors giving you their e-mail address, regardless.
okay, thanks for your comments....that has helped me a lot...I'll modify my site asap and change cover, graphics ..and will certainly adding some more valuable information. I thought, people are annoyed by to much text on a squeeze page as they want some information quickly...so, 10% is not a normal rate ? wow, some guru's claim something like 30-40% and even higher...so, maybe I should start small and target a sign-up conversion of 1-5% ?? Anyway, I 'll follow your advice and let you know what happened. Thanks again ... Thomas
You have to "sell" your free offer with a much longer page, especially to the internet marketing crowd who are used to seeing these all the time and will not give up their details so easily. Put a list of benefits on there that the reader can expect to get from downloading your guide.
I'm sorry TrafficLicious but I will have to disagree with you. 1- The lady and the guy goes with the theme "Survival Kit" 2- "Discover 17 FREE Powerful Emergency Strategies For Massive Adsense Income" is more attractive then "17 Powerful Emergency Strategies"
Yep quite rite.. the Squeeze Page lacks info.. Tell visitors the benefit as to why they need this ebook.. because no one wants to signup and receive promotional emails every other day.. Highlight the benefits.. add some Reviews.. You can easily ask someone on DP to read it and give you a review.. Show some proof of earnings as well if you have. In short add some more info to your squeeze page. Don't worry about it being lengthy.
Underneath your opt-in area is this statement, "You can be rest assured that we will never rent, sell or share your email address with others." Lose the word "be" as it should read, "You can rest assured...." I don' think that's the whole issue, but poor grammar greatly damages your credibility. I think that, along with the other suggestions, should get your opt-ins going in no time. I also think one of our snazzy banners advertising our dollar cards would do your site wonders as well
"wow, some guru's claim something like 30-40% and even higher..." Monster24, that's because they are either trying to sell you and others reading it something, or they are bragging...trying to be somebdy. For average sites, like yours, average is under 10%. Also, many give a fake address just so they can get into a site. In addition, the ones who do give a legit address, many (NOT ALL) stop reading after the second or third e-mail. I'm not sure about this one, but I think a potential customer has to be hit on something like 3-5 times before they will buy. That's not good if many of them stop reading after the second e-mail. Anyway...work on making your site it more appealing, give more info on the book, and, possibly, free tips. You have: "Discover 17 FREE Powerful Emergency Strategies." Why not "reveal" 2 of them? People read info, as long as they can get something out of it, and it isn't too long. Rule of thumb to go by: When selling something, don't let your visitors read longer than 5 minutes in one setting. Reason is that at least 75% of them won't read roughly any longer than that. So go with the odds in your favor. Something else to think about, though: On this particular site, you will lose at least 90% of your visitors with a squeeze page, because they won't sign in. I'm sorry, man, but, again, that is the average for such a site. Why not show everyone what you have, and improve your sales? Anyway, good luck with it, and I hope you make lots of sales, whatever you choose to do with it.
Hi Thomas, The first thing you have to do in my personal opinion is to remove the Statcounter that you have at the bottom of the page -it is no professional. You can use Google Analytics, it is free. Also, I suggest you to test everything in your page, just a split/test. For example you can start with your header graphic - 1 page with and the other without. When you have the results you start to use the most popular and run a new split/test, it could be your headline. You continue doing this to optimize your site. You can use Website Optimizer (with Google Adwors) it is free. On the other hand, I see you are offering 17 powerful strategies. What about giving 2 of them on your site? If they are so powerful, people will say: "Wow! I need the other 15." And they sing up. Make sense? Thanks, PV Reymond
Something makes me want to say he wants people to sign up for his site. You can have the worst squeeze page in history and still get 5-10%. Gurus I know claim 40-60%. Average guys like us get 25%+++. I apologize if you are telling the truth. But something doesn't sit right with me. Thats not the best squeeze page I've ever seen but not the worst.
What vartov has said is good as well ... give 2 and leave them wanting the other 15. It's a bit like how ice cream stores are run these days.
I think that there is a lot more that can be done with this page. There are generally 7-10 must have items (Compelling Headline, SubHeadline, Call to Action, Testimonials, Sell Benefits, etc). Look around at some of the Copywriting posts and see what you can add. I;m not the biggest fan of the long sales page but you would do better with more information. Remember, you have to see it like people were paying for it with cash. Also, be sure of your traffic profile. Make sure that the traffic you are recieving match the intended message of the site so that they will take the action you desire. ~H
wow, thanks ...these are all very good ideas.... I'll certainly work on it for the coming weeks. Hey, I can't see the statcounter ...I thought it's invisible ?!?? How weired is that... I can't see it (Firefox) at least...Okay, but I'll remove it I just don't know what the best approach is...showing the sequeeze page and then one-time-offer...or showing the whole package at the beginning.. Maybe I should go for a test...I like the idea to show 2 strategies...as a teaser and then make them keen to know more. Yes, all great advice...thanks so much guys...much appreciated.. Cheers Thomas
hi again, I have now incorporated the entire site, the signup box on top, but the whole sales letter is visible. wow, i have at the moment a 1:125 conversion (sales) and made 5 sales with ~600 unique visitors .....Sign up rate is still not great (1:50) and I think it can be better, but I am quite happy for this initial results. http://www.adsense-money.biz
Cool. That's good, man. Those 5 who bought. Did they buy directly from your homepage or through the e-mails they signed up for? If it was from the e-mails, how many did you have to send them before they bought? Hope you make more money.
