First of all, A for effort. Getting started is always the hardest part.

Your site is overly crowded with google ads, and other ads, ads, ads. If you are going to use google ads, spread a link ad through the middle of your paragraphs and a small box ad inline with your text in a different location, let it blend with the page. You can also change the background color of googles boxes to blend on the side of your page.

On a first visit if I was coming from a link I would have closed it within the first minute of scrolling down the page. You need a header graphic to use throughout all of your pages.

Some basic SEO - Use the Title tag to it's fullest - brief keywords relevant to your site. Be sure you are using the proper spider tags in your meta tags area. Use H1 tags on keyword phrases through out your site, also bold and increased text size once in awhile on keywords/phrases helps score for SEO.

I'm also guessing that your are using a domain name forward/redirect over the storesonlinepro site?! You need to host a quality website on your own server not a masked domain name. It will index better with the search engines.

First things first. Work on your site itself first, then resubmit it to the search engines.
Create a blog (blogger.com, squidoo, myspace) where ever and title it in complete relevance to your keywords for your website or your website name. Post articles to it weekly and use backlinks from the articles to your main site. Ping after every update.

Make an informational video and post it on video sites with back links to your site.

Okay, that's enough for now. I hope this helps, and yes I rank on the first 1-3 pages of the search engines for my businesses. that's on all of the pages, not just 1. Good Luck.

I am hoping to increase my link popularity. I have inbound links but I need a lot more of them.

Thanks for the advice. There's a lot to be said about the domain name forwarding that I can't go into detail about (too long for one thing). I got some of my information from their tutorials but much of it I have been learning myself by reading internet business websites/forums. Over time I have realized that not everything that I was told is as it was told if you understand what I mean. All the same, I'm not discouraged because I will make this work; I'm gaining experience as I move forward.

One of my articles has received almost two hundred requests since it was posted on an article site nearly two months ago. In the first few hours after it got listed on that site it was requested 15 times which was far more than other articles of the same category which had been there for a week or more. So now with so many requests for my article- on THAT article site alone-where are the inbound links. I've seen a few so far which is good but what about the rest of them? I've been thinking that some of the requests were made by people who don't own websites but simply wanted to read my article. As for the others I have no clue. I know the article is popular b/c you view the article and decide whether or not you want it, that's when you make the request. So that means that since mid October nearly two hundred people have requested a copy of my article be sent to their email address. So how long before I get more inbound links?

I also submitted the same article to other article sites and have received similar results ie high requests for my article. I'm just waiting for the backlinks to show up. Publishers can not remove the byline from articles they receive can they?

How is google better for inbound links that yahoo groups? I hear a lot about google but not much about yahoo. I have links on some yahoo groups, but I don't see them showing up for my site. I've looked at google, I'm wary of joining their groups because of the spammers and trolls. I think yahoo answers is good, though.
