Myspace Bulletins

Not an offer being advertised here, but more of a request for help.

I know absolutely nothing about Myspace - never used it, but I keep seeing these MySpace bulletins being advertised here, and was wondering if anyone would be able to explain to me exactly how these work ??

Sorry for the completely stupid question.

    Alex

Somebody with a mass amount of friends posts a bulletin that all of the friends are able to read.

You pay someone who has a MYSpace account who has a lot of friends and they send a message out on the bulletin system. If their friends read them, they could visit your site.

They use to be a good way to advertise your site to the target audience on MySpace. They have become less useful since MySpace now blocks almost all live links in bulletins.

If the message is good and you include a non-live link in your message, this can still be an effective way to advertise.

Thanks for the replies guys. Much appreciated.

Allout - can I ask what you mean by a non-live link ?? Do you mean just the URL and not a direct link to the site ??

    Thanks

    Alex

Yes, just put the URL so they can copy and paste it if interested. All live links are blocked and just redirects to the front page of MySpace. I am sure some people have found ways around this but it normally means a suspended account. I prefer to do it honestly because I have had my account for a while and do not want to risk losing it. :)
