Looking for opinions on my site [redesign]

I made a ton of updates, what do you all think?
also how would you emphasize the navigation more?

I'd personally center the block of text and navigation...just my personal opinion...site looks awesome anyhow

The site looks pretty sweet. One question, whats going on with the navigation? Is the positioning supposed to be dynamic? The white links get kinda lost on the white background when I scroll down the page.

 

increase the line height, that should make it easier to read

line-height(em)=largest font (px) / body font (px)

2.5em = 30px / 12px

i would do about 1.7em or so

 

Why the space at the top with nothing there? It annoys me slightly.

The navigation could be emphasised with a different background colour maybe, the white gets lost on the white background as someone already said.

The design is nice.

hi..I did review yr page. The design is good. keep the nice work. But there is one thing that u should be considered at. Why don't u put the page in the middle instead put it at the left alignment? I should tell u it doesn't meet the heuristic of web design..anyway, nice job!!

Yea, the empty space above makes me feel like something didn't load. I'm not sure I understand why it's there. Also, what's the deal with the leading on the post titles. I'm it's 'scrunched' for a reason, but it only makes it difficult to read and puts off a feeling of uneasiness.

Thanks for all the input, I am going to touch it up a bit today. I can see what all of you are saying. I think I'll center it and make the content area wider. At first I was thinking a one column layout would emphasize the content more, but it is getting annoying having to scroll all the way down for stuff. Also, I'll increase the line-height and change the navigation a bit. I'll let you know when I'm done.

minor tweaks like padding to the content areas to make the text more presentable like the module links, they are very nice.

 

In my opinion, the image is too big and the content too narrow.

 

I agree with Diana, the image could be a little smaller allowing a bit more text. I would center the navigation at the top and maybe bold the white text to show better.
