I've been writing my travel blog for a while now and, as I've added more and more content I now get found easily on Google searches. However, all my search traffic has come from Google. I even got my first page rank there last month. I have tried submitting my site to Yahoo in the past, for which I needed to set up a Yahoo account, but can never find my blog in searches. Does the fact I use Google Ads have a bearing on this? How can I up my ranking in Yahoo?
well i am facing the same difficulties as of now with my yahoo rankings, as what i've read both yahoo and msn needed organic content (that has something to do with article writing)... i've tried making one and submitting it to different article directories... the good news is im finding some satisfying result with my keywords in yahoo...
Have you submitted a sitemap and verified your site through yahoo webmaster tools? if not it is worth doing they should pick you up pretty fast.
You can get listed or can get ranking in Yahoo by submitting related articles to article directories. Yahoo is more focus for the on-page factor such as content.
blogspot is owned by Google therefor they tend to get very Google results in Google searches, I hardly see any blogsot results in yahoo I assume that yahoo does not give priority to blogspot blogs, If you would like to get results is yahoo you should be working on a .com site rather than a blogspot blog
I use IBP and ARELIS submitter. My site got indexed 2 days later.PM me if u dont have a key for the program
I think it's good if you try and get your site into as many directories as possible. like mentioned before, yahoo is very slow to index.
Create many blogs on yahoo's partner sites with links and keywords and a short story with keywords pertaining to your project or products. Yahoo would index the crap out of it.
Yahoo is a strange beast, but Google has been changing things up lately. I think Yahoo counts far more links than Google. Quantity of links is more important to Yahoo than quality IMO. MSN, Yahoo and Google are all using link popularity as a major factor for ranking. Keyword density is soooo 1997. If you mention the keyword or phrase a couple times on each page in your website, you will be fine on all search engines that matter. Quantity of content is important as it pertains to having a large website consisting of MORE internal webpages, not keyword count.
The slurp engine crawls sites based on quantity of links. Google looks for link content and quality of pages.
submit your site manually to ensure yahoo spider to crawl your site. check this link https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit My site listed on top 3 position after 1 week good luck
Yahoo is really slow :-( and compared to Google does not even get much traffic now days I find that it is not even worth submitting.
I have IBP if you want it. Can transfer ownership to your name. It's $249.95, but I can sell it much cheaper if interested. Website is at http://www.ibusinesspromoter.com/order/pricing-u.htm
normally yahoo will take time . even if its indexed also not going to get much traffic like google. Google is the best
