By using the adwords keyword tool you can quickly see which keywords have a higher amount of competition, and which pay more per click. Taking this into account you can work certain words into what you write on your blog or website, or may even decide to write a whole article around a certain high paying keyword. I have done this in the past to try and boost adsense revenues up. I have a site which covers a business niche - within this niche is a little sub-niche that brings very high paying Adsense Ads. Whenever I write about this topic on my blog, the AdsenseBot picks it up, and for a few days it causes the ads on my homepage to switch to that topic giving me a much higher eCPM. I've got writers hired for the site now and I'll just leave them too it - but when I was more actively blogging Adsense did used to effect what I would write about. Does it effect you?
Yes it does. Im only just for the money. So what I write is what attracts the traffic Although Im not very good at it
You left out my choice. I have to AVOID certain keywords so I don't get irrelevant ads. I write mostly about trading cards, and if there is a foil or chromium set, I get bombarded with "industrial aluminum" ads.
The keywords are important to me, but i try to deliver good informative content to the reader, so its a mixture but mostly the money
That is a very good point - sometimes yo uhave to be very careful how you structure your posts. Sometimes my writers try to make funny post titles - but it throws the adsense bot off bringing unrelevant ads.
It depends on what kind site you are working on and on the topic that you're writing about. As much as possible I use the keywords that I target to show the relevant ads while maintaining the readability of the article at the same time.
to be honest i think 80 % or more of DP members in adsense category write for adsense, almost all questions are related to "making money" , " low earnings", " best placement", "this site is allowed", "increase earnings", "make a lot of $" this say all about this subject
Have you tried writing about weight training - that niche probably has higher paying keywords and is related to wrestling.
True, Have to be carefull what you write sometimes or you will get stupid ads. You could put the "wieght Ignore" on your articles. on chunks of text. <!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) --> text <!-- google_ad_section_start -->
i dont go after high paying keywords but try to make relevant and great content. No wonder i got 6500+ subscribers within just 1 year. secondly, i avoid using stupid keywords like terrorism. I was once covering a news that had terrorism as keyword. Suddenly adsense started service terrorism ads. Funny! i had to delete that post to get rid of.
Yeah you often have to be careful what words not to use otherwise you get a lot of unrelated ads or public service ads.
