High SERP Ranking Vs high eCPM

    Hello everyone,

I'm stuck in a bit of a dilemma. Recently I heavily optimised my website to target it's specific audience through keyword placement within the site. My traffic has now greatly increased due to the optimisation, but my Adsense eCPM has dropped dramatically. So now I have over double the traffic and CT, but half the revenue.

The site is the design niche, offering free Photoshop files etc. Is there any high paying design orientated keywords I am missing, or is it just generally a low paying niche?

    Thanks

Well, your visitors aren't clicking the ads. Change up your ad placement and see what formats work best for you.
What formats are you currently using?

I think all the eCPM have dropped. Focus on SERPs i`m sure the earnings will grow after you have a top position.
    Good Luck!

They are clicking the ads, that's the point.

Ah I see. It's surprising that the eCPM would drop around Christmas, you'd think it would increase if anything. I'll just ride it out and hope it picks up. Cheers.

How many clicks a day? That can help you find your eCPM. Figure out the average to clicks.
Your eCPM could be dropping because of the holidays too. How was your earnings on Thanksgiving?

I'm getting about 65 clicks a day on average. Before I was getting 35 clicks a day only now I'm making half as much.

I thought if anything the holidays would increase revenue? Strange how it all works.

I don't celebrate thanks giving, I don't even know when it is :)

actually put up a site with hot contents and search engines will love that and of course the output is amazing. Be sure also that the contents has advertisers to make you profit from adsense more. if there are lack of advertisers then the cpm will goes down..really really low.
