Hello, Not exactly sure where to post, but I noticed some scammer alert topics in this section, and decided to post here. I was basically looking to find a designer, and Revamped Solutions offered to make a template for $45. We agreed that I will pay 1st half up-front and 2nd half after. I sent him $25 (Which was yesterday). Since yesterday he claimed that he was working on "icons" and it continued until today. He kept saying how he was making icons for the design and etc. So today, he showed me the design, which is http://i8.tinypic.com/6t25w9e.png I asked him if he made those icons (because I saw those exact same icons few days ago. Go to google and search for "free icons" and look at the 1st result.) After that I explained to him that those are free icons and etc. and now he strated claiming that he made those while working in another company. I linked him and he said he didn't get them from there. After that he started BSing about how other designers use free icons and etc; but he kept telling me for 2 days how he was making icons and those turn out to be free icons. So now he started apologizing and etc and told me that he didn't intend to use the icons (which he DID use). After that I told him that I can no longer trust him and there is not way that I'll know if the design is unique, and asked for a refund. He said that he will refund me. Another excuse was that he apparently had another person on msn named "Rom" who he was desingning for at the same time and he said he confused me with him. How can you confuse 2 days in a row several times? This continued and he stated several times that he will give a refund. After that he started ripping on me and saying how I am a scammer and etc and want to steal the design and keep the money at the same time. He kept insisiting that I will use his design and rip and etc. Then he said if something happens to the design it's my fault and etc... So now he started saying that he will give me only half of the refund for "wasting his time". After that he blocked me, and I didn't get any refunds. I know that $25 isn't much, but I mostly made this topic so he can realize his mistake. Should I file a chargeback / leave a negative itrader or wait a bit more? Thanks.
Just tried and... I'm sure this is a BS. He claims he is a big designer, and he doesn't have the funds that I sent him yesterday? Edit: So I have anger issues because I was scammed? Does he expect me to be happy?
Wait guys, i'm not trying to judge either one of you, but lets wait and see what revamped solutions says. For all we know Romanos might not be telling the full story.
Romanos seems to be on the right side , and also seems to be damn lucky too as he saw the icons by a stroke of luck, karma on his side. Letsee what revamped solutions has to say here now.
WOW. you really went all out on this. I wasnt trying to scam no body here, as everybody knows me on this site. Im reputable here, at least some of it. I wasnt running, i clearly told him i would give him a refund which doesnt seem to be up in the post, but im not tryin to make this a battle here. Refund has been done.
After you blocked me and ran away. I sent you a PM again THEN you said you would refund me in "few" days which I didn't believe at all. And how comes next day you refunded RIGHT after the chargeback?
Like i said, im not here to battle to see whos bigger because this really had no point to justify anything relevant. I told you before in the chat, look at the logs, that i will refund accordingly. You can see it, because i do. So why are you tryin to get over on people ROM? And i blocked you becuase you brought someone else into our dispute to fight your battle? Are you serious? I wouldnt do that, very disrespectful to bring someone else in our dispute. And then i had to tell you once again that i will refund you. Oh btw, i have bills you know, so i had to put money into my paypal account to refund you. Thats why i said a couple of days. But nooo, you had to let one day pass for you to get some itchy feeling that i was going to scam you. My itrader doesnt show that, thats why there there for. Please search/look around before you open your mouth or click your mouse. Its a done deal. So please why go on, when its been done already? Your looking for some type of closure?
