I have a substantial amount of clicks from November 30 through today but NO sales since Nov. 30. I have substantially increased my advertising budget for Christmas, so the volume is about 5X what I normally receive. I would like to know if ebay/CJ is behind on reporting commissions (i.e do you have commissions reported after Nov. 30) or am I just in that unlucky cycle of lots of clicks and no conversions.
Click reporting has been down for a week. I finally have clicks now but 0 revenue. I think its time to find more means of income rather than eBay.
Not that this helps you but I have the same exact scenario. My traffic and clicks have doubled but I DON'T show any sales since the 30th. I just wrote them and asked what was going on?
I was complaining about the same earlier. lots of clicks no revenue. I've paused my ppc campaigns for now till i see some results from those clicks. i'll give it 2-3 days.
i do between 3,000 - 6,000 clicks/day for ebay and haven't seen any sales for the last couple days. My guess is its a reporting glitch and the data will fill in.
It is really slow, but i believe its working. It updates once every 1 or 2 days for me lol.. but im getting sales / leads
Yes for the past 2-3 days my commission had no changed at all. I was seeing LOTS of impressions and clicks but no cash. Today I check again and 3 days worth was updated. In that time I earned twice what I had before woohoo
Ebay is a lot "leakier" now than I remember it ever being in the past. There are offsite ads appearing all over the place. (You won't see them all unless you are signed out, though.) Sign out, then look at the home page above the fold on the left hand side. Today, it's an At&t ad. If you click it, it goes offsite. A few days ago it was a dell ad that went to dell.com. There are sponsored links all over the place, too. Yesterday when I was shopping, I saw sponsored links for just about everything I searched for, plus coupons and things too. All of them direct users offsite. So, affiliates drive traffic to ebay. Ebay drives traffic to at&t, dell, or wherever all those sponsored links lead. Ebay makes money. Affiliates get nothing. You do the math on that! This is a bad situation for ebay sellers, for ebay affiliates, and for ebay buyers. (I buy a lot on ebay, and I actually discovered this while I was shopping. I found it very confusing. When I clicked the dell ad, I thought it was going to take me to a list of dell computers for sale on ebay!) In my opinion, ebay charges enough in fees that they should not need to be plastering the site with offsite ads. I wouldn't rule out a tracking issue- it seems like a lot of people are having them- but there could also be effects from these offsite ads as well. I imagine that affiliates are losing at least some business from them.
stats updated this morning: 255 clicks, 12 sales, 0 Leads, 4.5 % conversion rate, $8.47 commission. am not to impressed with that commission & i don't believe there were no new leads. surprisingly also, none of the items bought were what i sent the people to ebay for (not complaining) lol.
This is the world of the new Ebay. It is all being driven for stockholders now. I have been a seller on Ebay for many years but I am now moving to other channels. I will be closing my Ebay store at the end of this month too. I don't like these new ads as a seller on the market place and I definitely don't like them as an affiliate.
Just had a commission of $.17 come through on a $425 auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200178435883 Something is really messed up....
Saw this posted on auctionads.com *Please note that we are experiencing major delays in revenue reporting from CJ.com We are not seeing revenue data all the way back to November 28th from CJ.com but they have assured us they are actively working on a fix, sorry about this. Your revenue will not be lost.
squeezeplaycards- I used to have TWO ebay stores. I closed both of them, and am glad I did. Best of luck to you with sales in the new venue(s).
