    Hi DP members,
I am looking for your valuable suggestions about

How we can get good keywords for our website.....? Is there any tools avaliable online?

If so how to monitor our keywords, should we maintain any report on weekly basis?

And what best efforts we must make to get our website in top 10 results?
Is that depends upon the KEYWORDS ALSO?
In case i want to make my website in top 10 for a keyword "DATING", how can i do that

    Thanks.

You should start getting as many links as possible try these

    Link submissions
    article submission
    link exchange
    blog posting
    forum signature links

    hope that helps

And use the word "dating" in your title!!!!

I always start my keyword research by checking on the general keywords that are the niche I want to get into.

Once I find the base terms (ie dating), I get my hands on the valuable market terms(ie free dating online, millionaire dating online, christian dating online, etc). The 1st level terms have high competition, but also produce the higher level of traffic for my buck.

After I have picked some of this niches within the 1st level terms, I will start targeting them with the top level sections of my sites.

At that point I know I’m not going to be hitting these terms for a couple months, if not a year, so I turn my attention on the 3rd, or 4th level terms like “dating online lakeland fl”, “dating online richmond virginia”, or “gay online dating mature men”.

From that Im able to use articles, mini section to create long tail targeting which will bring in the low level traffic, and help build the site up to the 1st level terms that I will rank for within a year.

Once you have your 1st level terms you should be able to start building your website base theme, then build links (stickyLink recommendations is a good start). After that its becomes a cycle. You just keep building more links, targeting more long-tail, then more links. Over time your ranking will rise and you can start targeting higher terms.

Just remember to think about your offsite and onsite SEO when targeting higher terms as you move along.
