- About 3 years of college for a bachelor's degree in science and media arts specifying in the 3D field - Get hired at a gaming company for about 2-3 years - Get a better job with a bigger, well-known company after my 'trial' years in the business are over - Assume a higher rank in the game design area - Make my own gaming studio production company, making me the first female CEO of a gaming studio (to my knowledge) Oh yeah, I dream big. lol
wow cool.! I dream big too..if only I can make it work. web design is only a part of what i dream to do..it will help me get to where i ultimately will end up..
That's how I started off years ago (well still am doing), with web design. Ultimately I thought about doing it for a living but I have a bigger passion for gaming. At 18 I was already getting jaded by it and didn't want to have that feeling in the future. So gaming it was. It's not like I'll do it on my own, a lot of the path to getting there is on who you know. Thankfully I have a friend who graduated years ago and now works with RockStar North and got to work on the GTA series so I get a lot of helpful pointers from him. You don't exactly have go into game design, he originally got a degree in economics. So hey, you never know.

I don't know what my future would be but I do have hopes and dreams. I hope my dreams will come true.
If only i had realised web design was an option in highschool. We weren't guided very well. I have always wanted to start a health retreat,but have never been too sure studying naturopathy was really me. I've always been interested in technology. Not necessarily gaming.(although i do see the potential to make millions in gaming industry!) The reason-I never thought I was smart enough to learn to code. Waaaaay back when i owned a commodore 64 back in 1993/4 and I had another one(can't remember the pc) I did basic things with it. Although websites today are alot prettier than they used to be back in beginning.. Almost a year ago I figured the money was in web design. I spend most of my time online (anywhere between 10-16hours a day)..why not make money from something i have knowledge in. It's ultimately a means to an end. You lucky you know someone in the industry! that will help heaps. Good luck! Remember me..if you need a designer and i'm still in the industry.. I wouldn't mind (when i'm feeling more confident in my skills) get into interface design and perhaps designing /coding kiosk's/information booths etc. I think that would be interesting work.... or graphics for games would be cool.
I'm too lazy to work. What I really want is to make something that I can make money from with minimal effort, but thats not going to happen. I will probably end up working for some company doing web design or something like that.
Mine goes this way -Some how pass My engineering (not really interetsed) only 18 months to go -Get an MBA(very interested) admission in pretty good college -mean time earn big amount doing some seo orders as i do now -then Get into ecommerce in pretty big way and enjoy my work as usual hopefully every thing goes in my way
