There are lots of ways of getting traffic to your site. Above are some good suggestions. You may also wnat to consider: JV partners if you have an affiliate program, blogposting on other peoples blogs(not spamming but adding to the conversation.) link directories for SEO. There are lots of free ones out there to post on. Hope that helps.
You can also use a blogroll of some sort and add high ranked blogs/sites that are in the same market as you. I used to do that with my blog and once in awhile you would get lucky and get a link back. You should also become very active on other blogs, leaving comments on their articles with your link as a sig at the bottom of your post.
That pretty much sums it up. You can also join related websites that have a forum and add your link to your signature.
I think you should just spend a lot of time commenting other blogs with quality content, and get your website known that way.
